my dh was let go from work today. we both knew it was coming sooner or later. he is going to try going out on his own until the end of the yr before looking for a new job. exciting and darn scary at the same time.
i will most likely be picking up at least a part time job in the meantime.
I'm sorry that you are have no income right now, but you are right, even with the economy chances are that he can find something better for himself . It can be a scary spot.
Only 2.5 years ago DH quit his job at the fishery RIGHT when we were moving to a place that was more expensive and we had a 2 month old baby and 4 other kids, but he's now a honda tech, and makes 5.00 an hour more than he did there AND it's not seasonal. You will make it!! You can DOOO eeeeet!
Hugs to you. It's always scary. My DH is a plumber and work is iffy at best, and very unpredictable. We have been taking what work he gets from his "job" and doing work on our own as much as possible. It's very scary, but hang in there. My DH was off from October -March this last year, has worked part of March, April, May, and will finish up June 15th and than he is off again until further notice. God has provided ways for us to survive, and we've enjoyed tons of family time which is wonderful.
Thinking of you!
