Wow! It's hard to believe that we are on day #12 of GTKY.

Todays question is:

What is your job? What was your job before staying home (if you stay home)? Is that your dream job? If not - what is your dream job?

I was a hairdresser. It wasn't my dream job, but dh and I started dating young and knew we didn't want to wait for that long to have kids, so I wanted to take something practical, that even if I didn't do anything with it outside of the house it would still be handy. I am glad I did it, now it's fun to make some extra money and I really like getting to know people that I otherwise wouldn't have gotten to know much beyond saying hello.

Being a mom of a bunch IS my dream job, it's really what I want to be doing.

I load trucks for UPS. It's definitely no one's dream job unless you like getting up at 3am to load 800-1100 packages in 4 1/2 hours while being treated like dirt.

I would love to be a pastry chef.

Before I was a SAHM, I was a nurse. My dream job is to be a SAHM. I'm also an accredited instructor with the Billings Ovulation Method on the side.

Well I went to school to be a hairdresser, completed that and realized I hate to cut hair...dye it, perm it fine, but little pieces of hair stuck on my skin drove me crazy (have to say it saves me money now). Then I went to work as a night manager for Sav-ons in La, Calif. I enjoyed that job but then I got robbed at gun point and it lost it's appeal. I quit and we moved to Idaho were the hubby felt I should be a SAHM, I agreed also. I don't know what my "dream" job would be...I am still trying to figure that out LOL.

I am an RN, I worked in the OR full time before having Nolan, took a year off mat leave, then got a full time job teaching online from home, and also working casual in the OR. I really don't think these jobs could get any dreamier Being home full time with the kidlets is tough, often-but dh and I know its the best thing for our kids and our family, and it won't be forever.

I'm a SAHM/Nanny I love being a mommy and a nanny. I'm also a licenced nurse, but not sure if I'll ever use my degree. I like staying at home with my own and taking care of other people's little ones

Before I was a SAHM my full time job was an assistant director/toddler teacher in daycare. I LOVED that job. I think that will always be my dream job but can never have that EXACT position again. The business closed and it was the best group of co-workers anyone can ask for and the owner of the business is still a friend of mine.

My other dream job is SAHM. I really love it.

When I am done getting to stay home with my babies I hope to get a job nannying or open a very small daycare in my home. I have also thought owning a food truck would be an amazing job. Or a breakfast/lunch place. Or a place where you teach kids to cook......

Before becoming a SAHM, I was a juvenile detention officer. I liked the work but hated to politics.

I'd love to be a counselor! Or maybe an advocate for either diabetic rights or teen pregnancy prevention. Those two things are very near and dear to my heart.
