Hi Ladies,

Remember I didn't feel pregnant?

Well I went to the doctor yesterday - and there was an odd looking sac with what looked like a clob of cells in the sac. I had started spotting yesterday also and now the cramping is starting and more bleeding I am so bummed. I should have been 11 weeks by now. The clob of cells measured around 6 weeks.

I'm supposed to go in to radiology to have a more intensive ultrasound and they are talking about a D and C. I have never miscarried before and I have never had a D and C - words of wisdom?

Somehow I have to make it through my normal day of taking care of my tribe.

I am so sorry ((hugs))
I had a m/c at 14 weeks, and they didn't do a dnc, I just waited it out. It would be a day procedure.

I'm sooooo sorry Even though you lost it at 6 weeks you emotionally invested 11 weeks with the baby and that's hard for you

I had a D&E for a baby I lost at 13.5 weeks. The procedure won't be difficult...you will go to sleep and it will feel like you've taken a 10 minute nap when you wake. I had very little bleeding after mine. From the time I left the house and returned was only 4 hours.

What might be difficult is the emotions involved with it all. Coming home afterward and having to adjust to life in a house that's not preparing for a baby. Just know that anything you feel is normal and don't let anyone tell you how to feel or to "get over it".

Thanks so much for all of your warm thoughts.

I spent the night in the ER last night due to heavy bleeding, but they feel everything will pass on its own.

I have another appointment next Wednesday to check and make sure everything is ok.

Thanks Again for you support!

I'm so sorry I had a very similar thing happen with my first pregnancy and started very lightly spotting at 10 weeks but the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. I had the D&C done as my body wasn't progressing through the miscarriage naturally. I'll be praying that your body heals quickly and that you can find the comfort you need during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear (((hugs))) and I know your pain.

I lost a pregnancy at 8 weeks gestation two years ago in December. It broke my heart like no other. The worst part was nobody had any care, figured I had 5 so what's one loss?

Please know you have a board full here that is on your side.
