Has been all over the news lately for a political race that's going on here. The race for Senator has made the news nationally and even been made fun of on Saturday Night Live. The 23 year senator was upset by a tea party candidate during the primary (Christine O'Donnell). Personally, I think she is an idiot, but I admire her persistence and the fact that she's a regular person, not a politician. But now President Obama is coming to our little state today to back the Democratic candidate because some are worried he will lose to the woman. Even the debate they had was live on CNN. Never thought anyone cared about our little state.

Every single one of the races will be hot this year. Every upset, weird loss, and crackpot are going to get a lot of press. Fasten your seat belts, it is going to be a bumpy political season.

We had Obama here a few weeks ago to back the local dem for Senate.

On to your state though, I have watched both SNL skits with O'Donnell and they did make me laugh. I did think of you when I saw them too, and your tiny little Delaware. Are your local commercials out of control? I feel like 75% of the ads now are political. One of our Senate candidates is loaded, so I get fliers from her every day. Every day. Every singly day. From postcards to 10 page glossy pics of her and her fan club Too bad no one wants to actually talk about issues.

My hometown is Wasilla, Alaska so you can imagine I know how you feel! I used to describe where I was from by way of miles outside of Anchorage but now I see Wasilla on the Today show for real estate last week...my husband saw it on his fishing show a few months ago etc. Surreal.

I had a friend from Wasilla Alaska when I was in college. I can only imagine what a field day it has been in your little hometown.
