So, I am nesting and getting old baby girl stuff sorted out and putting new baby boy stuff in my room in the baby drawers. I am putting the pink/girl stuff in a box "for the next girl".

I am 40 years old. I have (almost) 8 children. We are broke most of the time. I have lost my temper so much in the last 10 years I don't think I will ever find it again. And let's not even talk about how much I weigh!

What kind of problem do I have in my brain that says "let's have another girl!"? I think I may have turned idiot.

I'm doing the same thing. Looking for a vehicle online (thank you very much ) and well I don't want to pick the 9 pass. cause well just in case then the 10 pass. well what if we have twins again? So now we're up to 12 well at 12 might as well just get the 15 pass. and hope it will last at least 10 years. I'm also saving clothes but in my defense I don't know the gender(s) yet. If we have one of each then it won't seem so "crazy" that I have both baby boy and girl clothes. That's just good planning. Oh and I'll be 38 (hopefully) when the twins arrive.

I think your fine. Who's to say there won't be another girl? I think its safe to say that in our "line of work" there's always going to be babies around, whether it's your daughter, granddaughter, Goddaughter, etc.. It's just who we are.

Keep the clothes and treasure the possiblities.

Oh my gosh I love this quote. Awesome!!

FW - Why not save it with that mindset? I am always broke and may lose my temper from time to time but still want more! Money is temporary your family is forever.

Oh FW - you just never know what might happen. Nothing is wrong with you!! You always tell people to not worry about the money. Aren't you the same one who always tells people that you won't look back and regret having more but you will look back and regret NOT having more. I think "one more" is always a possibility until God decides you are done.

I'm trying to convince myself that if our next and last is another boy that I can still keep all the girl clothes. Even if they rot in the attic it's better than facing the idea of donating them which will just make me want another!

I told my husband "It's cheaper to let the clothes waste space in the attic than to have baby, right?" LOL

FW, I think that is natural thinking when you have large families. It's hard to say, "done". Maybe because we've never had to ? I don't know, I just want you to know that you are not alone in that feeling. Enjoy getting ready for your son.

Nothing wrong with you at all!! Even though I know I don't EVER want to be pregnant again, I'm still a little sad at the thought of never having another first ultrasound, never hearing a heartbeat for the first time, never finding out the gender, and crazy as it is never having another labor/delivery, and never sharing that special moment of the baby being born with my husband again. It's just too hard to think of never having another one... and really... what's the harm in keeping the clothes... "just in case"!

If you're not feeling done after nine, then you'll probably never be done You know a good thing when you've found it!

My theory is that if I sell EVERYTHING baby, then I'll get pg

I love that, it's so cute!!! My husband calls me a baby hoarder lol!!! I toally know what you mean I yell at my kids, lose my temper, wonder why I had so many, and then when they are at school, sleep overs, sports I miss them and wonder why people only have one!! After each kid I think okay Im done and then I have a pain deep inside of me that fills as if I need/missing one that is meant to be here, so then here comes #4,#5 and still yet if I find my tubes to not be tied there will be a # 6, I think the biggest worry is how I am going to afford all of them or anymore...

I think its been concluded that if something is wrong with you, then something is wrong with all of us. I consider myself pretty normal, so i think you're safe.
