There's a new book out called "Dirty Little Secrets from Otherwise Perfect Moms". The two authors, both moms aged 39, got other moms to reveal little secrets about their imperfect mom behavior.
Here's a link to the article:
Family & Parenting - Your Life - MSN Lifestyle
Let's each share one (or more!) dirty little secret about our imperfect mothering...
I'll start.

Sometimes I dig dirty socks out of the hamper for the kids to wear when we have run out of clean ones.

And you?

Don't ya know we're all perfect, Shari!

Sometimes, if I'm really tired and just want to hit the hay I rub the kids down w/ a wash cloth and call it a bath.

And, lately due to the time change, I've gotten away w/ sending the kids off to bed at 7:30 instead of 8:30.

LOL!!! I've had to put a brush in my car because sometimes we'll get where we are going and I notice my child looks like an orphan with uncombed hair....

Hmmm....YOu know I try to forget these things so thinking of them is really trying my memory.

I'll keep thinking I know there are a couple things that would fit in here lol

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Sometimes (ok a lot of times) I let me kids eat meals in their rooms.
I sign reading logs when I know they havent read.
Sometimes in the winter the babies only get a bath like 2 times a week.

Oh good, I feel like I'm not so bad, lol.
I've been known to buy paper plates so I don't have to wash dishes.

Please don't say this is a bad thing, lol, we use paper plates here all the time and plastic cups with their names on them so I don't have a million dishes to wash..

I yell... way more than I feel good about doing...
I don't always make sure they have brushed their teeth before going to bed...
I have made dinner from Ramen noodles and hotdogs a few times when I just really didn't feel like cooking, not the greatest thing for dinner but the kids actually love it..

Ok, here is one. My DS has gone to school in the same clothes as the day before because I didn't notice. What's worse is I think he slept in his clothes.

LOL I have to FORCE my son to change his clothes...he's snuck by without me noticing before....in the same clothes (we homeschool LOL but when we leave the house I try to check everyone over good)....but when I say "go change out of your yesterday clothes" he argues that "they are still clean, I didn't spill anything on them"

OY!!!!

The thing is...usually he'll put them on in the morning after he took them off the night before....but he has slept in them...lol...silly kid....

I forgot that Cole was at a friends house for a playdate once.

I was supposed to pick him up after I attended a meeting. Instead, the meeting ended, I came home, called my mom, decided to order out for pizza, ask my neice and nephew to watch the kids while I picked up the pizza and started to walk out the door when I hear "hey, where's Cole?.....CRAP!

I didn't tell the other parents I forgot about him though. I was too embarassed.

We only use paper plates and cups. There is no way Im washing that many dishes, or emptying the dishwasher all the time.

Hahaha, Shari...I've totally done the sock thing.

I've also let my kids go to bed a few times without brushing their teeth.....I'm sure I'll pay for that later.

I yell way more than I wish I would. Half the time it's to yell OVER the kids, but too often, I'm yelling at them.

Once when the baby was really really screaming her head off, instead of taking the time to really wash her bottle out good, I put water and dish soap in it, put the lid on, and just shook it really hard then rinsed it out good.

I've let my boys sleep in their clothes before because by the end of the day I just didn't have the energy left to make them change into pjs.

We use paper plates all the time.

The kids each have their own cups (they get one cup and use it all day) and if they were drinking milk earlier and then later want more milk, instead of actually washing the cup, I just rinse it out and refill.

I've let my kids have toast and a banana (apple for Nicky) for Supper before.

I rarely make breakfast, my kids fend for themselves every morning, with the exception of the 5 year old. This always makes me feel like a bad mom, but I need a while to start functioning in the morning and some of my people want to eat the moment they wake up.
