I'm starting to somewhat reconsider our full name choice for new baby girl Milly/Millie. (Second guessing the spelling now too...thanks so much DH!)

So which do you prefer....Camilla or Emilia?
(I prefer Emilia pronounced ee-MEAL-ya.)
90% sure Grace will be the middle name.

No matter which she will still be called Millie (which ever way we spell it) but we prefer longer first names w/ nicknames.

I've always loved Camilla but dh has always said he hated it until #6 was conceived and now it has grown on him (plus he loves Millie and doesn't want to miss a last opportunity to use it). I feel kinda weird about using a name that he only "kinda" likes.
Emilia is a name we both like equally, however, I've always been weary of having Emmalyn and Emilia. But as far as pronounciation they do sound different, ee-MEAL-ya and EM-muh-lyn.

Maybe I'll just let dh make the final decision because I really cannot decide which one I like more!

Personally, I like Camilla. Our first 2 kids were easy to name. Our last 4 have not been. A few of our kids, I only sorta liked the name but really liked the nickname so I let me dh name them. Their full name grew on me but since we always use nicknames, I don't even think of only sorta liking their name. They each have really grown into the name and I can't even remember what I wanted to call them.

I agree ~ I like Camilla. I only sorta likes Shane's name. Actually, I wasn't all that thrilled with it at all. It has grown on me, and he seems like a Shane. It suits him.

The two em names are different, but similar enough that I would go with Camila.

I like Camilla for the Millie nickname better. My reasoning is that Emilia might get shortened to Emily...or mispelled because people will assume it's Amelia.

I'm also a fan of two "l" names ha ha

I like Emilia Grace but only because I have one. I have an Emelia Grace that we call Emelie.

LOL! Do you pronounce it w/ the emphasis on the EM, EM-me-lee-ah? Or the other way?

My daughter had an Emelia in her dance class and I spelled it Amelia so that is a definite possibility if that kind of thing bothers you.

I'm not a fan of Camilla at all and I don't like it with Grace. But, then again, I have an Emeila too and would choose it over Camilla anyday. I wanted her nn to be Milly, after my aunt, but dh veto'd it and started calling her Mia...and I HATE that nn. I'm the only one that still calls her Emelia.
