I took all the decorations off the tree, so I could put them on myself, just the way I wanted. I have to get a tree for the kids so I can do this without feeling bad or controlling. (not that anyone notices).

ps. I am trying to get 5000 posts today.

LOL! But won't you just want to rearrange the ornaments on the new tree? This could end up being a never ending battle!

Nobody wants to see my tree. The ornaments that did survive Isabel's rampage are all 2 ft from the bottom and up. It's a bit top heavy.

LOL....totally the same way. This year, we got a real tree for the first time ever. So, I let the kids have our little artificial tree to decorate. They have been making ornaments. Paper chains and lots of other paper ornaments. My five year old is coloring whole sheets of loose leaf paper and sticking them in the tree....lol. Whatever, just hands off my tree.

and also, I wish I could just throw caution to the wind and buy a bunch of new ornaments...but I am far too practical.

I woudn't care how the kids decorated the downstairs tree, but also don't feel like spending money on another tree.

I'm mean, I've locked the tree in the dining room behind glass doors, and the only child allowed in there before Christmas Eve is the 4 year old. Cruel mama, lol!

This is the first year we have had two trees. Not because I care how my tree looks, but because the girls really wanted one in their room AND I found a free one AND it is the best incentive for keeping a room clean, ever. My eleven year old has cleaned her room and even SWEPT every day since we put it up. Merry Christmas to me

We haven't bought our real tree yet but we have mostly handmade decorations. I'm sure it isn't the prettiest tree but it is chock full of memories and love
