DH and I are buying a 15 passenger van soon, but I was wondering something.... Do they have the anchors for the car seats? Not the Latch system, but the tether anchor? Two of the car seats I have require that for over a certain weight. Plus, I like having them...helps me install them better.

We just found out a couple of weeks ago that we are expecting number 9. We have a 12 passenger van, but it's tight with 10 of us. We have 6 in car seats and when this one is born we'll have 7 in them. We have to have them in them until they are 8 years old in Wisconsin. Sorry to go on, but we are also looking for a 15 passenger, hope someone can help!

They are all different. I have the latch system through all the middle seats in each row. I like that. Otherwise, we just use the belt.

I have a 15 pass van!!!
Its so old that I have no latch, and tethers are mandatory up here, we retrofitted the tether anchors, get the manual for the year of your van online, and they bolt into the seat bolts. DH installed four of them for $7 each
What a terrible run on sentence, hey?

I get beautiful tight fits with the seatbelts and tethers

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the idea Marie!! I was wondering if I could buy a kit to install them myself. My current mini-van does not have latch, but does have the tether anchors. I get a great fit with the anchors. Plus, my big boys are in the Britax Regents...they are both about 55lbs. The manual says I need to use the anchor once they are over a certain weight (which they passed that awhile back). We can't afford to buy brand new, but I'm hoping to get at least an '04/'05. My plan is to put the baby and my 3 year old in the front bench seat. My middle boys (5 and 6) in the middle bench. My 10 year old DD can have the third bench to her own. All kids will be separated by the middle seat on each bench (this thought is glorious to me...less fighting maybe). I plan on taking the last bench out to make room for bags, groceries, stroller, etc.

I don't like having an empty spot btwn the carseats, as someone is always crawling under the shoulder belt from the row ahead, I really wish these van seats came with headrests and shoulder straps built into the seats.

Right now we have two carseats in each row side by side
