So, this has been going on for about 2 weeks now. I thought it was a muscle tightening thing from sex (from behind) so tried to fix it with sex (me on top). But it didn't. I can hardly walk. It is a big spot about my left butt cheek, below the waist. I can't carry #8 at all. I can only walk slowly and sometimes have to lean on stuff.

A friend gave me that massage certificate, so I am going there on Tuesday. I made the appt before this all happened.

I am allergic to Ibuprofen (motrin, aleve, even aspirin) and Tylenol really doesn't help. Heat helps.

I considered a chiropractor, but haven't had the money for gas or copays to go to town til Tuesday (payday).

I have tried to stretch, but baby is in the way. I can lie down and get relief, but I would like to be able to walk for the next 8 weeks.

I am actually trying to convince DH to let me get an epidural now! Or induce in 3 weeks!

I don't know what that is? It doesn't sound like a pelvis issue. Maybe you could look it up on google, and if you don't come out thinking you're dieing of aids, find out what is located there at least? lol

Is it a sciatic nerve? It sounds very similar to something I have at the end of my pregnancies. Hope you feel better soon!

That is what I was thinking too. I had it in the middle of my twin pregnancy and at the end with Riley. It just comes out of nowhere and disappears just when you think you will never walk or move without pain again.

I saw a chiroprator with Riley and that helped some.

I didn't even think of that, because mine feels totally different. Usually to me it feels like either my knee or ankle hurts, but it radiates from my back, if that makes sense lol.

Yeah, it doesn't radiate, which is why I thought it wasn't sciatica. I will look it up. Thanks!

Sciatica sucks and I have had it every pregnancy. Sometimes it is just a pain in the *** really and other itmes it shoots down my leg. Its fun, fun!! Nothing helps mine and sometimes I can't walk at all. The MW's always used to tell me to lay on my back on the floor with your legs straight up the wall.

So I tried to lay down on the floor and put my legs on the wall. I am scootching around to get in proper position and my dh says "what are you doing?". I said um said this would help. Then I start laughing and he says "I don't think this is a good idea". And I said "yeah, I am stuck. Come help." he does and I finally get up off the floor. Laughing all the way, I say "stupid UM, I Sam gonna kick her ***". He says "really, you aren't kicking anyone's *** from Detroit.". I said "oh yeah, she's afraid of bugs". He says "you don't have any bugs on your ***!"

Try laying flat on the floor and have your husband pull your legs back? Then you wont get stuck and you can stretch that area lol

I'm too tired, pregnant and sick of this headache to fight, so you might have me....besides I don't like fighting people I like.

LMAO!! I'm so sorry your in pain but that story was hilarious!

I'm not sure how to fix the pain. So I'll spout off some random things I've heard help with pregnancy related pain over the last few years.

Bounce on a birthing (exercise) ball
The cat-like yoga exercises (what was the name? you know what I mean though)
Heat pad
Ice pack
(I loved it when one visit was heating pad and the next was ice pack, lol!)
Sleep on the opposite side you normally sleep on (left flip to right, vice versa)
Pillows between the legs
Tylenol

That's all I can remember and I'm sure you've heard it all before. Good luck, maybe baby will be nice and not make you wait much longer.

Sounds like sciatic nerve pain to me too. I have only had it with one of my pregnancies. I remember getting up on the table at the doctors and not being able to get down it hurt so much. My doctor thought I was just playing until he saw the tears in my eyes. The only thing that ever helped me was heat, but I don't think my dh liked me staying in the tub all day.

OK, first of all- UM, you are SOOOOO missing out. The massage today was amazing. She worked this hip thing out, it hurt but felt so good. She gave me some other stretches to do for it. I am almost considering paying cash money for more work! This was a gift.

She also suggested icepacks, not heat on it. Will try that tonight. Told my OB and he was all "yeah, that hurts". I love him so I won't get mad.
