For me, I mean.. not the kids. Seeing as how I've been "temporarily" working for three years, and it isn't likely I will ever be a SAHM again, I'm seriously thinking that if I have to work anyway I might as well make more than minimum wage. I used to want to be a nurse, so that's the direction I'm headed in, I think. Actually, I don't even know what I'm doing yet.

I can just picture me... 35 years old, mom of seven, going back to community college.

DH is already joking about being my househusband. He would happily take over the children's homeschooling and other household duties. Except laundry. I'm the only person in the world (or, at least, in the family) that can do laundry the RIGHT way.

Okay, tell me I'm nuts but I can do it.

I'm considering it too. I can't sling boxes at UPS my whole life. Actually maybe nursing too, but then I'd go into Midwifery, so I can try to even out all the idiots.

So yeah, you can do it!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

Good luck! I heard nursing school was very tough, and you can't really miss any days. Plus the hours can be funky. I'm sure with the help of your older children and your husband you can do it though.

I graduated from college when I was seven months pregnant with my fourth.

Thanks, Ladies. My options are so limited, partly because of where we live. Nothing worth doing is ever easy though, right? UM, I considered midwifery, but I don't think I'd be a good one. And I'd rather not work in a hospital- they piss me off. I'm leaning toward home health and/or hospice care.
