I bought a 1 year zoo membership yesterday for $69. Cheap considering at regualr prices just ONE visit for our family would have been $100!!!

We bought a zoo pass a few years ago, and never used it LOL. I don't even see zoopass options anymore, but for all of us it would be $97.00 for one visit!

we had one 2 years ago and we went three times. It paid for itself then. The lil kids haven't been so they should enjoy it.

It would have been $96 for all of us to go + $5 parking. Thats besides taking food and the kids wanting lil treats.

Yeah that's including the $12.00 parking, and Sebastian is free because he's 2. If I remember correctly the year pass was like $112 or something like that. Of course if we go to the zoo this summer I'm not bringing Sebastian anyway, he can stay with my mom or something. :/

Wow...$12 to park? Gonna have to start a mobile meth lab! LOL

When I signed up online there was only enough spaces to list 6 kids, I had to put all the rest in there too...LOL. They actually name everyone on the card. If they can fit them all...might just say ETC.....

They only listed 6dc on our family membership card. I listed 7 because our 1 nephew is with us often, shhh. That's one of my favorite places to take the dc during the summer, so we really get our money's worth with the family membership. I just pack lunches/snacks/drinks and they know there will be no souvenirs. Also with the membership you get 1/2 off at other zoos, so sometimes we take a day trip and head for one of the other ones.

With our zoo pass you could get into like 3 other zoos for 'free' too, I think Detroit was one of them. Not that we travel very often, but that was cool. Now I wonder why they got rid of it, or why it's so hard to find on the site if it IS still there. hmmm.... AND I wonder if the dinosaurs are at the zoo this year.

Found it. It's 71 without parking for a 'family', or 109 with parking.... which doesn't make much sense lol. You only have to list the adults on the card, and you can choose a pass with up to 4 guests prices go up to $290.

If I wanted to add 2 unnamed guests per visit the price jumped to $140. We can get into some other zoos too, free, I think, or 1/2 off. Have to check.

They closed our science center in Detroit.

wow, wish we had a zoo closer. The only good family thing we have here is a family membership for one year at the new multiplex (pool, waterpark, gym etc) but the cost, the introductory "cheap" cost is $1200/year upfront. Good deal if you have five kids, sucks for the people with two kids, though.

We don't have zoos or anything like that closer than an hour away. We try to go to the San Antonio zoo once a year (speaking of which, we need to do that before it gets too hot). We like to buy the annual passes to the Texas state parks. Those are a good deal! It think it's like $70 for a whole year for our vehicle to get into any state park in the state for free all year long. It's fun to go swimming, fishing, hiking or whatever for an afternoon and all we have to do is pack a lunch.

We are also at least an hr away from the nearest zoo. It's a small crappy one so it really doesn't cost much to go and parking is free. We usually go once or twice a year.

There just isn't anything fun around here to do.

The Pittsburgh zoo is on the other side of the city so it's almost 1hr away with traffic. Last yr I got a annual pass to a petting zoo place. It's smaller and I think it's better for kids in our families age range. They have some exotics like Tigers, monkeys etc but they also have llamas, sheep and stuff.

It only costs us $1 a person to go to any of the Carnegie museums (Art, Science, Childrens) plus $5 to park. It's because we have a medical access card for Nathan.

Wow, your annual passes are pretty inexpensive! Ours is close to $300. I've thought about getting it this year though.

*Just checked it's actually $350 for all of us, $100 per adult and $50 per kid (3-17). I'm not sure if it's worth it for us. We usually only go once a year and it's about $100 for all of us. We'd have to go at least 4 times to make it worth it.

It wouldn't pay for us to get a zoo pass, we rarely go, it's 2 hours away, so we're doing well if we go once. My brother in law can get cheaper passes from the company he works from, so he got them for us last year, and then it was half the $$ to get in ($45 instead of $90).

totally great deal you got though UM, gotta love that!

If gas prices keep going up we'll be hard pressed to get to the zoo and its only 30 minutes away.

Ours is $3.79 a gallon now.
