I wanted to tell you all about a movie that I just saw. I had seen no publicity at all about it but happened to see an ad for it in the movie section of the local paper. Somehow I just had a feeling I should see it so I took myself today after church. it is called 'october baby'.

I believe this movie is made by the same general group as has made fireproof and courageous. It has a strong message of forgiveness and a more subtle but still understood argument against abortion. The main premise is a girl finds out she was born prematurely at 24 weeks as a result of a botched abortion. It is her search to understand. It is definitely not a chick flick – guys will enjoy it too. It is well done, has no bad language or anything inappropriate. The credit story at the end is worth staying to watch -- it knocks home the theme of the whole movie.

just felt like i should share this so it doesn't get lost in all the other movies out.

I haven't seen it but I have several good friends who have and they have all said it was really good. I doubt we'll get to a theater to watch it but will definitely rent it when it's out on dvd.

I didn't realize that babies survive abortions. I had no clue.

It is rare but it does happen. Sometimes when it happens the doctors performing the abortion will refuse to treat the preemie baby so they die fairly soon after the procedure because they are unable to breath on their own or survive without medical intervention for very long. It is quite rare that the baby survives and then gets proper medical treatment needed to survive.

How does that work, don't doctors take the oath to help people? Or it doesn't apply to abortion "doctors"....or maybe they don't believe that the baby is a person, huh.....

they do take an oath but in the case of abortions, they look the other way. i have heard that if the child survives the procedure, they will sometimes NOT allow anyone to help the child, thus letting the baby suffer and die slowly. i don't get it either, but i take comfort in the fact that one day the dr's that participate in these activities will have to stand before God and explain themselves. would not want to be in their shoes!!!
