I call ya'll my Large Family momma's. The others are my April momma's. I really went outside the box on my names, lol!

On a sidenote... I love that one thread can turn into so many different topics.
Probably because our lousy host won't ever step-up and give us any new threads.

I call you ifriends. Um has moved into "my friend in Detroit" though. I just want people to think I am cool because I have a friend in the hood.

I call you all my online friends. I have a few from another message board I've known for so long I've lost track.

I have been contacted on another site a while back because I don't like to post photos on public boards and I usually only use initials for my girls. This is because I've been stalked by my "outlaws" who have claimed I put my children in danger by posting on these sites. They are constantly looking for ammo against me. Problem is my girls have somewhat uncommon names and when you put them together they are easy to find via google. I'm new to this site so we will see how it goes.

In real life I get a lot of comments from all the 2 children families at my daughters rich private school. "well, you have a million kids", "you look like a family of ducks", etc.
In public I get more comments about having all girls. My oldest gets so upset when people make a big deal of saying "Wow" "Good Luck", or "are you still trying for a boy?". She doesn't understand why everybody has to comment and act like its bad. At 8 she gets her feelings hurt and it ticks me off.

One of our regulars has 5 girls. I am sure she will mention that if she sees your intro thread. I don't like to use names, either. I go by number.

I will use a few of their names, the common ones, but do try to avoid using the more uncommon names. Dh doesn't care if I talk about him, but his name is unusual also and I don't use his name online at all.

And FW, you are my friend in FL. The rest are my online friends or Large Family friends.

lol I've never had anyone say we look like ducks!

I was at walmart by myself the other day though, and there was a dad talking to an old man, that I assume he knew by how long they were talking. Dad had 3 kids in the cart, and I didn't even notice they were there until I looked his way, but the old man said something about him putting all his kids on a leash or something. I couldn't help but give him an evil look. He probably still doesn't know why he got the stink eye.

Lavenderblue, now that my girls are older the comments are much less, I hope they'll eventually end for you too, but I SO know how you feel.

I'm way too boring to have ever been thought of as a troll, and I don't have enough kids to be one on large families

Trolls usually don't last very long, but I don't understand going through the trouble of setting up your account and think of fake names and a fake story. Get a life.

There was a troll in a DDC/Playroom that had been around for ages, she was a host & all with more than 10 or 15 THOUSAND posts and it was all a lie; even the kid pics were stolen. I don't know the whole story, and I would seriously have to dig through a ton of posts to find when all hell broke loose, but some people REALLY want to play pretend online sometimes.

I remember that, Kim!! That was insane!!! People even sent her stuff for online showers and stuff..and then everyone was freaked because she had phone numbers and addresses. Crazy!
We had a girl come to our PR, say her dh was in Iraq, and she had twins. Then Dh was injured in Iraq. She posted pics, and I knew then that she was a total fake, her dh was scruffy. Someone said well maybe he wasn't military, but contracted, so he was allowed to be scruffy. Anyway, next thing we knew her dh had died.
Yeah, it was all fake.
Why would anyone do that??
There are, unfortunately, people who will come into the heart community, and prey on people's kindness. Say they have a kid who needs to travel for surgery, or worse, a child who has died and they need help with funeral expenses. Lots of people get suckered into it. It's disgusting.

This doesn't have anything to do with having a large family. The comment about leashes reminded me about this old lady in Dairy Queen the other day. I took the kids to get a cone and it was a hot day. I was wearing some pretty short shorts. I'm skinny and I have the body for it, OK? So sue me. It's not like I wear them all the time. Anyway, we walk past her and her husband and a minute later I hear her talking about how she doesn't understand why women feel the need to wear short shorts. Whatever.

First of all, I wonder what makes her think I care about what she thinks about my clothes. Second of all, if she doesn't like my wardrobe, she is more than welcome to buy me a new one!

Every time a new nurse came on duty, she would read through my chart. When they got to the part about this being #9 they would shout out something like "holy crap, #9!!??". I could almost time it.

I always hear "You don't look like you have 6 kids!" from everyone I meet. The Dr's, nurses, teachers, teens, random people at the park, etc.

My question...what is someone with 6 kids supposed to look like?

Yeah, when I was in labor and talked to the MW on call, whom I hadn't met, she asked me the usual questions. Then she got to "Is this your first baby" and I said no this is TEN....and she responded "what are you still doing at home? You are not allowed to have the baby in the car...hurry up and get here." LOL...I was having contrax every 2 minutes at that point. HAHAHAHA
