375* 10-12 min

1c butter, softened
1c white sugar
1c brown sugar
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla
2c flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 c oats
Chopped pecans and golden raisins if desired

Cream butter and sugars, beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients (except oats) and beat into butter mixture. Stir on oats, nuts and raisins.

Filling:

1 c milk
5 tbsp flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 c butter, softened
1 c sugar

In saucepan combine milk and flour, mix well. Heat and stir until very thick, think thicker than cake batter. Stir in vanilla. Let cool completely.
Beat butter and sugar until not grainy, then beat in milk mixture until not lumpy. This is a lot of beating....trust me. LOL

Yeah, I make them without the nuts and raisins for the lil ones. I usually make the cookie dough then half it and add the nuts and raisins to one half. I use pecans because those are dh's favorite and golden raisins because I think they are better than "regular" raisins....LOL
