We are thinking of TTC our next one. My 5th and DH 2nd but our first together. I keep feeling like I am leaning towards yes but then I worry so much about my previous complications. I have had an infant loss, all of my children were premature. However they are doing great now with a few set backs.

I would love to have one with DH that is a bit of each of us. I also love raising kids, and completely enjoy the baby, toddler and preschooler stages. I just really start worrying about past complications, and I get thinking it isnt a responsible choice.

My big question is has anyone continued TTC after having very bad pregnancy experience?

For those that planned pregnancy did you worry about things or were you always comfortable with your decission?

I know there is one woman in our group that had many pre-mature babies.

I only had one bad pregnancy, that was with my son where I barfed every day til the day he was born pretty much. Then he came at 35 weeks, but he was almost perfect even being early. He only needed oxygen for 12 hours and a little work on his 'sun tan'

Looks like your last babies were in 2009. Keep in mind that it is 3 years later and that they keep advancing medicine more and more each time, so you may not have any complications this time!

I've been lucky but I do still worry. We are moms, we always worry when it concerns our babies. Even if they haven't entered the world yet.

I actually talked t my doctor recently about this. I have had a 2nd trimester loss and a 35 week birth so I didnt even know if it was a good idea to have more. He said that since I have carried 2 pregnancies to 38 weeks he would not be concerned if I had another one. I think if you are worried and you trust your doc tell him/her your concerns.

I know this post is a little old but I haven't been around.
All 7 of my babies have been premature. My first was 35wks, my earliest was 25wks and the rest were inbetween those. All are healthy with no preemie problems. I've had multiple complications with all of them. After my 2nd was premature, I just went into it all with my eyes wide open. I got the best perinatologist I could find and prepared for the worst, but hoped for the best. I have worried through every pregnancy but after doing it so many times,it was easier because I knew what to expect. We would like at least 1 more. Just waiting for finances to work themselves out. If you want another one, my advice would to just prepare. Find a great doctor, talk about it before hand, figure out how you'll handle things if things get complicated. Good luck
