Did you always plan to have a large family or did it just sort of evolve that way?

Just curious...home bored making dinner while DH is taking kids to dance and the park...lol.

For me I always dreamed of a larger family. Thought I was finished because of someother factors after baby 4 but now since remarried looks like I might get a chance to realize my dream. DH on the otherhand never saw himself with a large family life has just sort of evolved that way for him.

I don't know what causes it.
Seriously, just sort of evolved that way. I had #1 and was content to never have any more, then came #2. Did not want just 2 so.......

I always hoped for a large family. But honestly, didn't think about 9, maybe 5-6....now we are hoping for more

dh didn't want to have 3, he's 1 of 3 and he thinks one always gets left out.

I always pictured myself with 4 or 5.

I definitely wanted a large family. I grew up with three brothers and a sister in one home and two brothers and a sister in the other and loved it. I can't imagine having a small family.

I wanted 4 but was told not to have kids (gotta love modern medicine). My dh wanted 4 as well. Somehow, they got added together and I think 8 is a good number.

A combination of both? We said 2 but then 3 and 4 came lol. I always liked bigger families but never thought we'd have 4!

DS wasn't planned at all, I wasn't thinking about kids and family yet. Then I had him, and wow becoming a mom was one of the most awsemoest things to happen to me in the history of forever! And we started talking number. DH want a ton of kids. He's 1 of 6, he'd have a dozen if I said yes. We could become the agnostic non-reality TV Duggers and he'd be more then happy. Of course I have to birth all those kids, so I'm little less wa-hoo lets make a football team! But now I know I want a lot of kids. I want the crazy chaos. I'm not sure we'll actually get up to the Dugger relam, but at least 6.

I grew up an only child. I wasn't sad or lonely or anything. But I always loved when my cousins came around, and the sound ampliphied and there were other kids to play with.

Now I just have to learn to like mini-vans. Maybe we could restore a VW bus...

Start saving and buy a new Honda odyssey when you need it. You will love it. Heck, by then they might fly!

I always wanted 3 or 4, cuz I grew up with 5 sisters & 3 brothers. DH only ever wanted 2...3 tops.

The other 7 just unexpectedly happened, literally overnight. And now we've got 11 under this roof & we wouldn't trade it for the world

It definitely is. Thankfully they all get along fairly well, and I think them all being somewhat close in age is a good thing.

There were 5 of us kids growing up and I loved how shocking it was to people. They would always ask, "Are your parents still together?" I knew I wanted a large family, but never nailed down a number. When we were dating I told my husband I wanted a lot of children. He said, "heck yeah - me too. I want a whole yard full of 'em." After the first 3 he said, "....you know I meant a square yard, right?" I told him not a chance. We are now pregnant with #5.
