I think I may be the loudest in my neighborhood and also yell the most often. It would be a close tie with me and the neighbor 2 houses away. How on earth mom's keep their cool and don't raise their voice i will never understand.

I never yell. Seriously. That's just how I am though. I am a very even tempered calm person by nature. Drives my husband nuts. He says I am just oblivious. I have yelled at them - which really scares them - because I don't normally. LOL

Yeah, I'm a yeller. Not so much out of anger, but just to get everyone's attention. "Guys, it's time to come down for dinner." Two minutes later..."I need you to come downstairs." 1 minute later "Get down here now!" 30 seconds later they all arrive.

Or how about that awkward feeling when you are really laying into the kids (or worse yet, your husband) and then you realize your windows are open and your neighbors are walking by, lol. Smile and wave....

I am very loud by nature. Not necessarily anger. I will yell in anger but mostly its just to get there attention. If I am talking in a regular voice they dont listen at all, if I raise my voice they are not afraid they just respond.

I don't think I yell a lot. Others probably have a different opinion on that

I yell to get them to come to dinner, clean up, whatever. I will even scream and shriek at them for doing something bad or stupid. I don't use bad words or call them names. I have my standards!

I'm not angry all the time, I just yell. Of course the noise level around here is comparable to a stadium full of fans at a rock concert.

I mostly yell to get them to come/go, because it's dinner time, the bus is coming etc. So it's more using a loud voice rather than yelling (or so I like to tell myself) I don't yell out of anger a whole lot.

I don't yell often. It takes a lot to make me yell. I'm pretty patient/calm.

I yell. No one seems to listen unless we yell. I hate it,I wish I was calm, but when I tell them to do something, most of the time they ignore me until I'm raising my voice. another lf mom once told me there was no eason to ever yell, that instead you should whisper..yep, I've felt guilty ever since. Glad to see I'm not the only yeller.

i used to yell when my kids were little. i learned(way too late) that talking softly gets their attention and so that is how i operate now. i am one to keep my feelings inside and not let on how i really feel, so even mad, i pretty much don't raise my voice. i like to think i am calm and in control of myself at all times. ( ha ha ha i know that's a funny!)

Im bipolar on this issue. Some days I feel like im constantly raising my voice just to be heard and then other days Im calm and soft spoken and they focus..... i think they like toying with my emotions already and mine are still young!

I yell when no one will listen to me. Usually because they can't hear me over everyone else. My dh doesn't ever yell, but he talks VERY loud and everyone stops to listen to him. My dad was the same way. Never yelled but was stern and everyone knew to stop and listen
