How many children do you say is just to many to have? How many is to much for yourself to have?

I could probably have a hundred and be fine...okay maybe not a hundred, and I would probably have more if my pregnancies weren't so bad.

To each their own, how can I say what is too many children for someone else to have. For me, I don't know. Ten is cool, eleven would be okay, maybe then I'd like 12, then 13.....of course I'm old(er) so I'll probably not have enough time to figure out what its too many for me.

I don't have an answer to that because I don't believe that its not my place to tell anyone how to live thier life or what to do with thier uterus. For me I'm still searching for the perfect number for us, I keep waiting to feel done.

I did not mean it in a bad way when I asked how many kids you think is too much. That was not to cause strife I have a greatgrandmother who had 24 children. Some people think maybe going over twenty is to much or 10.I have 8 and pray that the lord will fill my house more until he is finished.I have friends that say no more than 2.So I was just asking respectfully.

I would say that if you have so many children you are not able to support them, then it's too many. And I don't mean to indicate that I think getting a little help isn't OK. My husband and I both work and our kids are on CHIP (but we do purchase extra dental insurance) and I am about to get back on WIC because my hubby got a pay decrease at work. But it's not like we aren't trying, you know? My hubs works a full time job, I work and even have two jobs in the fall months. We also grow our own vegetables and are about to get chickens to try to grow/provide as much of our own food for ourselves as possible.

We were trying for another baby, but are putting that on hold for now. I think it would be better (ie. easier) if we wait until David is a little older. Also, I think we should be in a little better financial situation before bring in another little one. I don't know how many kids we want or how many would be too many. I don't think our house would hold many more and our car will only hold one more ... so that will hold us back for sure.

As far as Im concerned, nobody knows but you how many kids are too many. As long a they are cared for: fed, clothed, loved, taught etc.

For me, I'm done. 7 will be it. I think I wouldn't mind more if we had enough money to pay our bills and maybe an occasional housekeeper. Plus, if pg wasnt so tough and we didnt have a big age gap. I really dont want to be having babies and grandbabies at the same time.

No idea yet for my family. DS2 is just turning 3, and I am going through the same thing as when DD was 3.... I said I am never doing this again, and I am feeling that way again, lol. 3 is such a hard age for me. I agree that finances play a big part in what will make our decision though. My husband is a Priest and I am a Doula. We're never going to see big incomes in our house with the type of work that we do. And every time I get pregnant, we have to use government assistance (medicaid and WIC) because I am self employed, and that is something to consider as well. We just hope to make our choices prayerfully and logically.

I don't know if I could ever have 24 children. That's a lot of years of being pregnant! I could definitely do 5 or 6. But I don't know beyond that.

My initial reaction is that anything after 8 is "too many" to have. But I'm thinking that since 8 is pretty nuts, it wouldn't be all that more crazy to have 9 or 10 or 11 or however many. So you go girls!!!!!!!!

I have 5 (+1 for a while) and I've never been able to picture myself with more than 6.

TEE HEE. I never pictured myself with more than 2 or 3. We also always just thought 1 more. I almost can't even say I will have 7 kids with a straight face.

I have no place to deiced how many is too many for someone else. I get frustrated because my MIL is always trying to tell us how many kids we should have. For me I wouldn't have anymore than 6 kiddos, anything more than that would be too many for me to handle lol.

I say if you can support them and don't solely rely on welfare to raise them the more the merrier.

For me personally I was complete at 6 but God has other answers to that seeing that#7 is on her way after dh got his snip snip

I would never suggest that anyone ever has 'too many' .

I hope that we have more, but if we don't, that will be okay too. Tony and I want the family for ourselves that God wants for us.

for me I don't think too many is a number but once you have reached the point of going past what you can afford financially, and emotionally. For every family that number will be different.

For me I would say that there is a 90% chance that this will be my last baby. I am a SAHM and DH brings in under 50,000 a year so with mortgage and other expenses money is tight. Also all the kids are special needs, and pregnancies are so hard and dangerous to me and the baby.

If money wasn't a factor I know I have enough love and patience and want for atleast 3 or 4 more.
