Nope, I just don't know what it's like to not have enough, or need something for your child, or go without.
This is what dh's "baby momma" said on the phone last night when she was complaining that she didn't get any c/s money. This was right after she told him she saw his cousin at Chuck E Cheese.
No, I have never known struggle, difficulties, hard times. Nope, since I am independently wealthy and all my dreams have come true.

I can definitely see the struggle of trying to live beyond your means with one child far outweighing trying to make ends meet in a family of 12.

I think she was saying if she's so hard up for money, why was she spending it at Chuck E. Cheese!?

That lady sounds like a piece of work.

Yep. If life is sooooooo hard, why are you at Chuck E Cheese?

After we had his son for almost 2 full weeks she couldn't come get him on the scheduled day because she didn't have any gas (in her brand new car). When she could get here the next afternoon she was dressed to the nines with her hair done. Must be a hard life....one I have no idea about.

LOL - I guess she never has money because she had different priorities than you. Some people put their children first and some people put themselves first. Obviously, she puts herself first.

You can always afford what is mportant to you. We didn't always have electricity or water, but we always had beer and cigs. And my dad always paid his cs on time.

You go girl!

The term "I can't afford it" always kind of bugs me, it often implies a victim mentality because like fw said, you can afford all the things that are important to you.

I often hear people say they can't afford this and that, but then do and have stuff that I would never spend money on.

I used to say "can't afford it" but it wasn't because I couldn't, it was because the money available to do B was already budgeted to pay for A.

I have since changed my saying to "it's not in the budget for this pay, maybe next time".

she'd never go for it, then she'd have to give up her welfare and measly c/s.
