So I know a few of you make your own laundry soap (still on my to-do list), but what about other stuff. I always hear windex is something you can easily mix up yourself.

I think I am going to make my own shaving cream, I found a recipe. My girls seem to be "borrowing" my shaving cream all the time, and I just hate all the cans that go in the garbage (and I hate buying it now that Costco no longer has it). Seems easy enough, it's a cup of conditioner, a cup of shampoo, 5 tbsp lotion and 5 tbsp baby oil. I'll let you know once I tried it.

I'm finding that now my kids are getting bigger and we use so much more I'm on the lookout for this kind of thing more and more often.

I make nothing, not even thinking about it. Not something I really have time for or the desire to do.

Forget the shaving cream and just use conditioner. It softens the hair and works just as well as shaving cream.

Laundry soap, I recently started and won't ever buy another bottle of it. It cleans amazingly well, and last twice as long. I need to gt something to scent it though...I am big on how things smell lol

Vinegar and water, for most of my cleaning. Vinegar is also a good fabric softener and great for pet smells.

I also make my own mayonnaise and ranch dressing. We go through a lot of both.

I did try the dish soap....but I need bubbles. It worked but I just couldn't get past the fact that there was no bubbles.

I think that is it, you can also make shampoo, but that kinda scares me.

Only thing I make right now is wipe solution. I just don't feel like making anything else at the moment.

If I were still surrounded by little ones I wouldn't be the least bit interested in making anything either!

The only thing I do with vinegar is clean my coffee maker.

Weed killer: Apple cider vinegar base, 1/8 water, tbsp salt, dash of dawn.

It's non selective and will kill anything in it's path. Great for cracks on side walk and poison ivy.

recently started laundry soap. Definantly a winner. really easy and HUGE savings.
Not much else though. I have started using softner and water instead of febreeze. works great and super easy.

I want to make laundry soap, but I haven't yet and I'm a bit nervous about using it in our he machine.. I use conditioner for shaving cream, make my own lotions and body/face scrubs, vinegar for cleaning, I make cloth wipes (we use cloth diapers), and I do our own shake n bake, taco seasoning, etc.

I make nothing, not even bread. Yes I have little kids but I think its because I don't have time and I'm kind of lazy when comes to environmental stuff--bad Marie
