So 10 yr old ds decided to pull a wheely on his peddle bike on the grass with OUThis chest armor protection he uses for quading!

1 er visit and broken lowest left side front rib later here we are. Has anyone had this injury and how long before able to be mobile? he went to school today for first I since I jury 1.5 weeks ago. He is still in alot of pain when he moves.

On a better note 4 yr ds got his stitches out of his back the last weekend before school started as was able to go to farewell to summer bash at the water slides with his siblings! Lol

Ouch! No sorry, we've been really lucky here when it comes to broken bones. *knocks on wood*
I hope the pain eases soon!

Only a broken wrist here, but I have heard the ribs take some time to heal.

I had a fractured rib as a teenager, that hurt enough. Hope he is feeling better soon.

I have had two, #3 and #4 both with broken clavicles about a year apart from the exact same accident (fell off a little tikes climber in the backyard, we named it the Clavicle Crusher)

Hopefully he heals up soon. I wouldn't blame him too much, how many people actually own chest protection?

My 11 year old broke his leg 2.5 weeks ago on his scooter. Again an area where you wouldn't typically wear protection. Accidents happen!

LOLOL clavicle crusher!!
He is doing better but it sure hurts him.
The kids all tease him and remind him that his wheely was EPIC and he must try again!

His sister and him last summer had a quad wipe out and as a result he got the knobby tire imprint on his butt( another Er trip) so his nick name is Tread Mark!

LOL @ Tread Mark!! And Clavicle Crusher!

I have Dash and Danger. The oldest boy is Dash, whenever him and his brother are causing trouble and he hears an adult coming he takes off like a bat out of Hades. Danger (youngest son), whom is usually doing whatever insane thing his brother has convinced him to do, is left there to take the fall.

Growing up (I have 3 sisters), not one of us ever had stitches. I broke my collarbone in a car accident (so not my fault ), and then I had one sister who broke a leg (her fault).

Then, my 3 oldest girls ALL ended up with stitches within 9 months of each other. I was SURE someone was going to call DFS. Then the 3rd ended up with them yet again a couple years later. It's a whole new experience for me. I guess my sisters and I must have been calmer than I realized. Hahahaha!!
