I was up until 11 pm trying to contact as many rescues as I could in regards to the dogs we're fostering. School called with their automated message system around 10 pm to tell us that due to Sandy we're on a 2 hour delay today. It's quite possible it will be cancelled altogether later if there's flooding.
I didn't get much sleep. Paranoid those dogs will escape their kennel and kill my livestock, but I have a plan to put into action this morning to stop them from escaping anymore.
Squeakers woke up at 1 am. Nursed her until 2 am, when she thought she'd play, so I got up and we snuggled down in DH's rocking recliner, cocooned in a blanket, and rocked until she fell asleep. Tucked her back in her bed and went back to mine.
IT's almost 7 am here...I consider this the butt crack of dawn. My mother apparantly thinks I'm incompetent in my parenting, because she calls at 6:30 am to make sure our daughter doesn't go down to the bus at her normal time.
Um, hello...not idiots here.
So thanks to that, Squeakers is now AWAKE. Again. Probably for the day. So are all of the boys. DOESN'T ANYONE BELIEVE IN SLEEPING IN ANYMORE?!
