hmmmm, I think it was dh's big new chainsaw! He really needed a new one for the yard and we would never imagine spending that kind of money on a brand name one, and I did for him I bought it two weeks ago and had the lady at the store call him at work, and tell him a package was delivered to them to pick up. I haven't surprised him like that since my last bfp!
Instead of chocolate or whatever for teachers/busdrivers/others that we appreciate we donated $10 per person to an organization that feeds hungry people and spreads the Gospel through it. (Outside the Bowl). We love to give and show people we appreciate them, but we've been thanked by a few teachers for not giving them a mug It was great fun to give, and turns out we appreciate a lot of people.
Probably the furby for our oldest, lol. Its creepy as heck but she LOVES it! I also love that I finally bought DS the batman batcave he has wanted since he was two..He has been asking for it for over a year now and he played with it for five hours straight earlier with one potty break and one lunch break. He loves it!

We actually messed up pretty good and got #3 a couple good things, but really nothing for #1. She wanted a compound bow. We got #3 a beginner type bow thing and switched it on wrapping night for #1. I thought it would be too young for her, but I gave her a spiel about getting the beginning thing for her to see how it works, how she does with it, blAh blah blah. Anyway, I tink it was the sharpest move we made.
For us, donating to an organization that feeds the hungry and spreads the good news of Jesus. It also helps them get services they need for themselves and their families. To think someones life could/can be changed by that is our goal as a family, to bring more people to know Jesus.
We also made dinners for friends and worked in her preschool for 12 hours last week and I know she appreciated it.
I sell stuff on ebay and some random person asked if I could lower the price on a mickey mouse clubhouse toy for her 3 yr old. I lowered it by $50 and I would have lost money on it. She still couldn't afford it and needed to borrow money. I felt she was legit by looking back and some of her past purchases of used toddler clothes so I shipped her the toy for nothing as just a random act of kindness for someone that I don't even know. She was very thankful!
