I think this has been done before, but what is the age difference between you and your spouse? Does your spouse's age make any difference on when/if you will stop having children?

There's about 3 years between dh and I. I'm 36, he's 39. Considering our youngest is 7 age wasn't an issue.

This is a bit of a topic with my brothers, 1 is 10 years older than his wife, the other 8. My 43yr olds brother's kids are 7 down to 18 months. Wife says if he was younger she'd go for another one (they have 4). Other brother is 41, they have 5, ranging from 11 down to 3. They also feel like his age is a factor.

He is almost 8 years older than me.

I'm pretty sure we're both done.

I am 28, Rob is 40. Weston is 3 months old now.

I don't know about having more kids. I can't see me not ever being pregnant again. Sometimes Rob is so adamant about telling people we're not having more kids etc. Then the other night we were talking about money, and he says "well you know we'll probably have to upgrade the van eventually"... so I don't know.

I DO want to do some stuff before/if we have more kids. He has never gotten to do stuff in his life. Has never been to Wisconsin Dells even! We're planning on going to Kalahari next tax season for a whole week, and getting one of those big 6 bedroom 'rooms' so that should be fun.

There is one year and one month between us. The only age stopping us from having more is mine, he would be more then happy with at least one more. I'm almost 41, and he is 42.

I'm 38 and my hubby is 36. For us, age isn't a factor it's as long as God allows us to have more

We're less than 2 months apart, and I'm the older one. Oooooh!!! Anyhow, I have a hard time saying I'm totally done with kids, but at the same time, I don't know if I can take the added stress each time of worrying if the baby will be okay now that I'm officially AMA.

We are 6 mos apart, both 42. Age has only just recently entered the discussion. Mostly mine, but his too a little. It is just harder to get up and do the next thing that needs to be done. I think it is mostly mental though and I am blaming laziness on age.

I'm not the youngest one in the group am I?

Now that I see some of your husband's ages I don't feel so guilty about having an 'advanced age' husband

Oh, not to mention he doesn't act 40 at all.

I'm 28 as well. Dh is 29. Age really hasn't been an issue for us...we started our family young.

My DH is 6 years older than me, and age hasn't really been an issue for us either since we started having children quite young. Although he brings up the lame excuse of "I want to still be able to travel and do things after the kids are grown" when I mention wanting more children

Spouce and I are only 4 years apart. Right now age doesnt matter on how long we go for having kids. But I do think once he hits 40 it should be the end. He will be 40 in July, so guess this makes our last LOL

About a year difference between Dh and I. Dh just recently told me he absolutely wants another one after this one

My response....................

age does not matter to Dh, I am of "advanced maternal age" and although I believe theres a Higher Power that decides ultimately, I can say that I am pretty much done !!!

We let God do the planning, so age doesnt matter for us. I am only 28(I'll be 29 in a week though) and hubby is 30.

I am 30, dh is 33. He is 3.5 years older than I am. He will turn 34 shortly after this baby is born. Since we're young, age hasn't entered into baby making discussions. Dh commented the other day that he'll be around 52 when this baby is old enough to get out of the house. I don't think that that sounds all that old, really. My grandfather is about to turn 90 and he had 6 kids. He's had decades without them in the house.
