Imaani

Probably Josephine as a middle name

Congrats! So happy for you! I was thinking Tamaar (Tay-mar). Tamaar Josephine would be awesome! And you could call her Tammy Jo!

Lol @ Tammy Jo!
You could consider Cortenaay as well .
I like Evaani!
hmmm...Aamyah...Amaiaah...Amayaah...there's lots of possibilities with that one. I like it a lot too. You already have Kya though, would that get confusing or would you call her by her full name?

Tamar is in the Bible, and its a kinda not so nice story. Tamar pretended to be a prostitute to have a baby.
But now you have liking Tamaar Jenesis.

The story of Tamar is one of my favorites, too.
Beautiful little girl, UM.
I would say it's giving me baby fever, but my baby is climbing all over me right now, being whiney and clingy, so that's kind of cancelling out any possible baby fever LOL

Tamar was bad ***. She pretended to be a prostitue and snared her fil to fulfill her need for a son. He tried to have her stoned when he learned she was pg, but she had his staff and a ring iirc. She busted him and he acknowledged her righteousness. If my name wasn't Tammy (Jo, as a matter of fact) I would have named a baby that. Francine rivers wrote a small novella that brings Tamar's story to life.

I don't know the story, but if my kids didn't have redneckish names, I wouldn't remember them. As it is I can't get my sisters kids names right, of course some of that has to do with the fact they all have nicknames and they have nothing to do with their real names.
Congrat's on the girl! My sister would be jealous, she has more girls then anything and so wanted her last to be a boy...didn't happen lol

All my girls would have, I guess, what you could call "hood" names. But they have meaning .....really!
Laliyaah is actually what I got from tweaking Delilah.
Nazaaria is from Jesus of Nazareth.
ahhh, but NaKiyaah has none, I just liked it and wanted to call her Kya.
Evaani is from Evan which is a derivative of John, my grandpa who was the greatest man I knew and Josephine was the grandma of my son, Aarons, best friend since Kindergarten. She was an awesome lady, but she passed 2 years ago, way too soon!

I don't think they are 'hood' names, maybe once upon a time that's what people would have thought, but unique names are so 'normal' anymore, most people think nothing of it.
Mine have pretty traditional first names, then there is Lupan (which is technically his middle name) and Colton has Mangus as a middle name and is what the husband calls him. Both are Apache cheifs, and Lupan means wolf. Of course with all of the Harry Potter movies people think it has something to do with that. Um, he was born before the movies...idiots lol
My sisters boys names are almost identical, and that's were I have a hard time cause I can't remember who is who. There's Davon (dad), Davion, Devon, Darian. Two of them are 'his' children technically, and when they were thrown in the mix....I became confused. It's a good thing she is patient with me cause outside of my oldest niece Rosemary, I can not remember order or names. Well Kotey is next so those two are the ones I can remember.

I ran Tamaar past the kids and it got vetoed, sounds like a boy name they said.
I really like Evaani Josephine. Time to run it past dh and see what he says.
Isaiaah's middle name is Joseph, its okay if I use Josephine, right?? Wouldn't it be cool if she did end up being born on his bday. Its August 12th
