I really don't understand. You are going, you can't go, what?

Sorry about the honda trouble. They will fix it well though and keep up with it after.

So the youth leader of my girls youth group sent out a message asking for help planning fund raisers for camp. I said I would be glad to plan one or two. I suggested a Mother's Day tea and a car wash. What else do you suggest? We know bake sales.

Thanks, all. Quite a surprise, but I suppose it shouldn't be. Hubby is not taking it so well. He's panicked about how we're going to swing it. I'm just giving him time to let it sink in. I wouldn't have even tested if I wasn't late, but here we are. I know things always work out.

So, on the subject of taxes, can I ask how long it was from the time you filed till you got them back? I'm seriously checking every single day, and it still just says received, but not yet approved. I'm antsy for that money!

My brother was like that with their 5th, I think men often worry about providing etc. But you know that down the road you wouldn't even want to think of life without this little one. I never get money back from taxes (because I normally don't pay during the year) so I can't help you there.

FW, I was saying that I can go to the meeting today, but won't be there for the actual service on March 7. For a fundraiser what about a spaghetti/pasta supper? Or a bottle drive? (though I'm not sure if that's quite the same for you down there).

We're having valentines supper at home tonight, with my favorite 6 people.

I got mine a day later then they said. They accepted it around the 27th or so, but didn't process until the 31st. I was supposed to get them the 6th but got them the 7th.

I did Sam's a week ago, and she got her's yesterday.

I did mine on Jan 3. They were received Jan 24. They said that forever, then on Saturday night, it switched to approved and should be paid on feb 13, and they were!

What's a bottle drive?

fw oh right ???do y'all have a deposit on soda bottles down there? I think that's what was meant..
Anyway, if u do u send out flyers to the neighborhood saying that you will be by to collect them on...date... and then they will leave them out for you. You return them, then you get to keep the $$$
ps my 5th and 6th are amazing....and like pp said, while initial shock may be somewhat crippling, once they are here....no doing without them...

No, not since I was a kid. I remember bottle deposits though. I sent an email and made a fb post and people have already started offering jobs. My neighbor almost said she had enough work to pay for both of them to go. Crazy!

FW, since I forgot to answer, it looks like I'm due October 23rd. I suppose I have to call tomorrow and make an appointment with the midwife.

Hubby asked me today if anything changed overnight. Um, nope! I don't have the heart to tell him I took a test yesterday. He needs time to adjust. Then he asked me if I felt like I was - "like don't you get some special feeling or something?" The man cracks me up sometimes! I told him I am only late when I'm pregnant. That's how I know! And, of course, the test that he doesn't know about. LOL!

A recall isn't a big deal at all. They will fix it quickly, for free. Depending on the dealership you'll get a rental car.

I have recalls on mine too, but like a dentist's kids are the last to get their teeth cleaned, my van will be the last one in to get recalls done. It IS getting detailed today though.

Good morning my lovely ladies of large families! I hope valentines day has been sweet for you so far! Wh gave all our kids a little token of candy. Then tonight we are taking them to chick fil a for a special valentine dinner! They are putting table cloths and roses on the tables. And from what I understand they are giving away free dessert samples. Then we are going to Krispy Kreme for free donuts.

we have deposit money on all sorts of stuff here, anything with juice or pop (excuse my canadian, that's soda), and anything milk/creamer. Anytime a bottle drive is done it's ranges from $800 to $1200. I usually give my bottles away, but when I bring them in myself I usually get about $60 back.

Picked up my nieces and now going on a big housecleaning spree so that it's out of my way.

Only one state here does the bottle thing, 5c per bottle, that said everyone I know from there doesn't do it.

Car problems must be contagious around here, the coolant hose burst in my husband's car last night, we have a few spares but it happened when he was out, so he called roadside assist (we figure, if we're paying them we may as well use them) and they didn't have one for his car on board and the guy didn't want to tow him up a winding dirt road, so he wouldn't take him home. He wanted him to pay $250 for a tow truck, despite the fact that trucks are too wide for that particular road. So I drove down and did it.
Ended up replacing the hose myself.

Grease is on TV. It's just one of those movies that seems weirder every time I watch it. WHY DOES THE CAR FLY AT THE END?
My kids don't believe that I was Frenchy when we did the musical in high school.

I love that movie. Hate the flying car at the end.

Someone is coming to look at the house today. Have I told you how nasty our yard is right now? Between dogs and rain it's like a cesspool. I don't want to move. They probably won't like it anyway.

Remind me to tell you a goofy story about my mil. I have to clean this dump up.

Never seen Grease.

FW please dont forget to tell us your story about your mil! Hope your viewing goes well today!!

Yesterday had appt in the morning then few arrands and a sushi lunch with the kids. Night school went much better last night even though fridays are later departures from there. D was great the whole day thankfully and has returned to her normal happy self! yahhh....

Staying over at #1 and #2 house is becoming expensive!! lool... Every visit ends up with buying things for their house or kitchen and then of course food! Plus I left last night with a load of dry cleaning for them to return on sunday!! I guess mom is always needed at all ages lool. love it though.

Library today some more shopping and then to an indoor gym for the kids.

I love watching that movie with the kids and pointing out where I had classes or where I hung out.

FW I feel you on the yard. We've rained for days on top of melting snow and our yard, and parking area, is mud, sink 2 inches into nastiness.

Congrats, Halfdozen!! Hubby will come around at some point, they always do.

I must have missed that you were selling your house, FW! Though I'm pretty sure I've missed alot around here.

I have no idea when we are going to get our taxes done. We took them in last weekend but there was an issue with determining what state we live in (since dh works in several throughout the year) and it was screwing up what we owe. I don't see how it affected federal but either way they wouldn't file it without getting the state thing figured out. Oh well, we aren't getting much back this year anyway.
