I have no motivation. After each room I clean I keep coming back to the computer. Blah. Upstairs is done and laundry is in the washer. I guess that counts. It's almost 60 outside too, I suppose the neighbor is going to want to walk to school this afternoon to get the kids. It's kinda hard to hide feeling like crap.

Hopefully you're seeing a dermatologist this time MIL!

When I put laundry in the washer and remember to turn it on I consider that cleaning lol. Sadly I forget alot, I seriously think I fried too many braincells in my teenage years lol.

I feel like a child today. I have to clean my room but I just dont want too. lol. I eventually will today though. The dust bunnies have begun to breed

Bedrooms are the easiest to clean here, very minimal stuff in there, dressers and beds, and a few stuffed animals that's it.

I'm eating lunch. Of course the chips I wanted are all gone, I'm eating cheetos, if I barf cheetos I will be upset lol

Repti, I hope you start feeling better soon! Do you always get sick with yours?

MIL, I second Repti. I hope this appointment is with dermatology!! It does sound an awful lot like what I have. At least you're trying to get it resolved quickly. Keflex for 6-8 weeks stinks since I let it go for so long.

My mother-in-law has been visiting. Leaves tomorrow - yay!!!

Just a quick pop in. We've had an eventful morning. I left for work at 3am, as usual, left my phone in the truck, got back to the truck after set up to see that my 17yr old has absolutely blown up my phone with calls and messages, turns out that at around 4am my husband's pacemaker started malfunctioning, so he was taken to the hospital.
They tweaked it and think it should be fine now, they don't want to replace the whole unit (this is a relatively new one, replaced in October) but he is being transferred to one of the larger hospitals here, as our local one is just a general hospital and has no specialist doctors, where they will make the final call with what to do with it.

His old pacemaker was in there for over a decade and never had any issues, since they put the new one in this is the second malfunction. Sure it may be small and has all these wiz-bang features, but it's not actually doing it's job.

wow -cybele - that must hav e been so scary!!! glad he is being moved to a bigger hospital with specialists to make the decisions. hope it all goes well.

as for me -- i saw my regular doctor this time. he says its rosacea. he has rx'd a med that cost me $105 out of pocket!!!! it better work. all i can say is my skin hurts, has big blotches and pimples and spots and bumps. he said the hydroicortisone cream that i was told to use made it worse, not better. that explains why it got so bad this past week. he also said it will take a few weeks to clear up -- oh such a joy.

Something I learned this evening: Spray bottles are very effective on 17yr olds and their girlfriends, as long as a certain 6yr old doesn't see you do it, because then he just runs around spraying everyone with water, including his 12yr old sister who was trying to write up her science report, which is now soaked.

LOL that reminds me of one of Noah's friends mom. She has 10 kids, and one of the younger girls got into the habit of hissing at the other kids, so mom said if she was going to act like a cat she was going to get treated like one. She would spray her with a water bottle every time she hissed. It ended real fast lol

I usually get sick in the morning for a while with all of them. With Noah it was pretty horrible and I barfed all day, every day until like 8 months. Weston's pregnancy was not the most pleasant either. That's what I get for waiting three years in between kids and breaking my 'pregnancy tolerance' LOL

So we were talking about DH getting fixed, but that wont happen. #1 he will only have MAX three days off between now and when the baby is born so we need those days for him to help me here at home, #2 I know he's not going to go back to get the semen sample tested to see if it was effective, an #3 he tells me that he would have to take a week off to completely cure the hangover he would have from losing his "manhood". Whatever, like I said after you have like 4 kids it's not a big deal anymore and I will get that copper IUD. No more hormones for me.

MIL, I hope that does it. If it doesn't clear up quickly, you might want to push for a dermatology appointment!!

My hubby made an appointment to have the big "V" done in May. He picked a day when my mother will be visiting, I have a midwife appointment, and our oldest has a game. I swear he doesn't look at the calendars first. Guess we'll see if he follows through this time....

Terre, I hope it works!Repti, hopefully the morning sickness won't last past your first trimester.
Cybele, scary about the pacemaker!
Halfdozen, are you hoping he goes through with it for real?

#2 turned 15 yesterday. I let her skip school and took her to this horse trade fair thing in the morning, and she was off to an overnight rugby tournament in the afternoon which she thought was a pretty fun way to spend her birthday. I didn't like not being with her on her birthday, and debated going to watch rugby (it's 2 hours away) but birthday girl herself thought it was just fine that I didn't.

I got new furniture for the basement yesterday, I've been looking for ages (the old couch was ripped and had all it's stuffing coming out of it, since last summer already) but I had not been able to find the right thing for the right price on kijiji(it's our craigslist). I got a sofa, loveseat and chair and it's a few years old already but barely used and came from a clean home. First the baseboards, now this, all in one week.

Yay for new furniture! Cyb, I hope they get that pacemaker worked out. That is scary.

#1 did great at her audition! They loved her. And the music director told me she was great and cute. She said thank you to him and told him he did great. He laughed telling me about it and told me he thinks he will make it in to the program! Then in more talking, it came out that he has 6 kids. So we had a great time talking about that. She is so relieved it is over and so happy that it went well.

I love getting new furniture, it makes me feel happy every time I walk into the house.

Good luck to #1, FW. Fingers crossed she gets into the program.

I got a call from my husband saying that he got no breakfast this morning because he is scheduled for surgery, I asked him what surgery, he doesn't know, just that he didn't get breakfast and he was told that is why. He seemed more concerned about missing out on waffles then mystery surgery. Half an hour later I got a text message from him that said "They're just going to replace the whole thing and start again, scheduled for 11am, will be in recovery around 1pm, will be in hospital until Thursday, got the menu order form for tomorrow, no waffles but there is potato and leek soup for lunch"
Priorities.

Cybele, your poor hubby! I hope he's feeling better soon. If he's had that many troubles, I guess just starting over might be best, but still....That's a man after my own heart! Food is always of top priority!!

#5, I kind of have mixed feelings about it right now. He was supposed to have it done after #4, which I was on board with. He didn't, obviously. I've had a few early problems this time, which I've never had before. So, I guess I'm okay with it. But I'd also probably be okay if he changed his mind. I don't think he can mentally handle any more so it's probably best if he goes through with it.

Yay for new furniture! I need a couch, but I'm a cheap ***

FW sounds like she did great, when when will she know if she gets in?

Today was my 'nephews' 16th birthday. It seems like yesterday he was just a little guy. It was a nice party, to many people for me lol

Well, he got out of surgery 3 hours ago and he is back on the regular ward, he's hooked up to a ECG and will be for the next 48 hours to make sure his escape rhythm is, well, there. The unit he just had taken out was skipping escape rhythms (in simplest terms, only half his heart beats on it's own, the electrical impulses don't travel to his ventricles, the pacemaker listens for the first half of the beat, and when the second half doesn't happen, it does it). I'd say fingers crossed that it runs smoothly, but the one he just had taken out passed the 48 hour monitoring and only started playing up in the past few months, so you know.

Taking the bottom 6 to a party at a lake today. Should be a nice diversion.

The university was having an open house day while we were at the audition. So I went around and got swag for the littles. One table had tshirts. I asked what I had to do to get one and the lady said "are you here for explore uwf?" I said "why yes I am!" Got free shirt.

cybele hows your DH doing?

MIL hope that clears up soon, a friend of mine has rosacia but no pimples or bumps but that part of skin is not 'smooth'. That doesnt go away however, it just has 'flares' and gets worse at times.

Repti I dont blame you for not wanting to take hormones for BC. I considered the IUD for like a minute some time back but couldnt do that either. NO WAY Dh would get a V either.

DId you/your 6 littles have a great time at the lake FW?

Halfdozen...I was at my older boys house today and was trying to use one of their iphones to log in here and got to the main page and YOU were in 2nd place for the MOST posts today!!

M2M not sure if a 'normal' MRI is good news or bad news for your Dh or not...I know the first time I had a somewhat 'normal' MRI it just made my life miserable for awhile while undergoing more MRI's and tests and exams and blah blah blah...anyhow..hope hes ok

Nothing new here, Im trying to get a pic of my tulips here but will have to wait for Dh to help..lool

I'm so sorry. That sounds awful and you sound so miserable. I wish I could do something to help.

The lake was nice. Everyone had a nice time. #3 gets braces on in the morning. #1 has finals this week. She will be done on Wednesday. I checked her act scores tonight. By super scoring and rounding, I think she may qualify for the big Florida scholarship money. It will help so much. I have to call so e places tomorrow to figure out how to get the info to the right place.
