UM, isn't that how it always goes?! lol, like every time you actually have an umbrella, the rain stops!

Went out for noodles with the hubby and stopped by Motherhood Maternity for some new nursing tanks. I used my 3 old ones for about 14 months straight with DD3 and they're getting ragged, and MM is having a buy 3 get 1 free sale, so I decided to treat myself to some new ones and a free set of pjs. I find it harder and harder to spend money on myself as the years go by. I haven't bought a single thing for this pregnancy--I even used scrap yarn to make her blanket--and the only things I intend to buy are the postpartum recover supplies, some newborn toiletries and a pack or two of disposable diapers to get me through until I'm feeling up to doing diaper laundry again. Oh and nursing pads. I do leak the whole time I nurse, so I go through about a box a month, but that's not too bad. So, I figured I could go ahead and get these. Although I still wish they were cheaper! I'm getting stingy.

I'm officially 37 weeks today (my ticker is 1 day off, I don't know why and I'm too lazy to change it) so I opened up the guessing on Facebook about date and size. I doubt many people will bother to guess though, there just doesn't seem to be a ton of interest in "yet another baby." No one is being mean about it or anything, just not like having the first or second.
But, if you guys want to guess, too, that would be neat!
I'm 37 weeks today, due date is 8/19
Matilda (DD1) was born on her due date, 8lbs 8oz 21 inches.
Evelyn (DD2) was induced at 37 weeks, 8lbs 4oz, 21 inches.
Adelaide (DD3) was induced at 37 weeks, 6lbs 14oz, 20 inches.

I had cholestasis and other gallbladder issues with Evelyn and Adelaide that necessitated the induction. I do not have that problem this time and am not anticipating an early induction. The latest I will go is 8/30.

although my birthday is the 29th, I would not wish that lateness on you so I will guess 8/15 and 8 lb 7 oz. and I am so anxious to learn her name -- you have not told us right?

Thanks for guessing, ladies, it's fun for me, and honestly helps the days pass wondering "Will so-and-so be right?" instead of "is today the day?" It's silly, but the former feels like pure chance and the latter somehow feels like failure! lol

Matilda desperately wants to have some kind of "stand" (lemonade, ice cream, etc) but we live on a busy road. I'm thinking of letting her make a dozen brownies, taking them over to DH's work and handing out quarters to his staff to "buy" the brownies from her. She'd love it. She has a check up today though, so maybe later this week would be better.

I was filing papers yesterday and found TWO $100 gift certificates to a local spa I must have received as birthday presents and forgotten about. I'm planning to book a pregnancy massage next week!

It is a good thing I don't believe in due dates, because baby doesn't either.

My uterus should have a sign on it......easy to get in, so much harder to get out. smh.

Maybe the ultrasound is right and my edd is really august 9th. Though I don't think so. That would have meant my bfp was 6-7 dpo.

Oh well, guess either way she will come before September. lol

What a great and wonderful day! We celebrated #6 turning 6! We went to chuckecheese. The manager was great and let my kid do the ticket blaster. We had a ton of pizza, tokens, cake, fun! But we had to say goodbye to our Spanish girl. Everyone said their goodbyes at cec, then I took her to the meeting place. She and I hugged and cried like babies! I won't say I was the best host mom, but there were no other Spanish girls crying at the bus stop! Brought everyone home and took them swimming. Now making chicken paella before a teacher training co-op meeting. I'm tired!

FW--happy birthday to #6!

UM--DH's grandmother gave us a 60 year old electric icecream maker and it still works! You might be able to find a used one pretty cheap. And, if you can't, I made my kids do this and it actually worked and they kind of loved it: 2 little hooligans: How to make homemade ice cream in a baggie.

Yeah, we have done ice cream in a baggie. Thats why I want a ice cream maker...LOL.

Elijaah has his school sports physical this morning, then weight training later. This is the last week of that, but then football practice starts so really no rest. He has lost 15 pounds since the beginning of weight training in June. He's a big kid, 14yo, 6' 225. He wants to lose another 25. He went from a 38 pants to a 34. He looks good.

Good for Elijaah! Organized sports at that level with so many kids must demand a lot of time and scheduling efforts, but sounds like it's really good for him! Are any of your other kids on teams?

Well, not right now. My 16 yo son used to play basketball but he had some school issues and then some anger issues that have kept him from playing. Its a shame too, he is really good and there was possibility of some form of athletic scholarship.

I never expected Elijaah to play, but he has showed interest and really enjoys it. He has made friends and stuck with it. I'm proud of him just for that.

That is good. Thatis my husbands size since he lost 65 pounds. Bet he looks great!

I am bummed. My dh got a great bonus, but it still isn't enough to pay for everything and buying 4 tickets to get into Disney. So I told him that and he said we should just cancel the whole thing. So, he doesn't get what he wants (day at Disney) so we cancel the trip to my reunion? I am about to go "discuss" it with him so you might hear some shouting.
