Eek! sounds like a nightmare.

Sorry about your friend Terre.

UM, sorry no one went out of their way for you on your birthday

It's my oldest birthday, she is 16 today! She is very matter of fact about these things, so not much exuberance is shown by her. I am having "everyone" over for supper tonight and even cooking nice (read:not hamburgers and hotdogs). It turned into a bigger shindig than I had anticipated, but you go cousins and aunts and uncles, you gotta go for them all.

Sorry about your friend Terre. Makes me realize (hard as it is) that you have to enjoy every day, because you never know if there is a tomorrow!

No bedding day today.. shampooed rugs, and washed the couch covers/blankets instead. I should have folded clothes too, but I wont have time anymore, especially with all the homework that is coming in an hour and a half. Ugh.

Went to town today to get some done. Came home and asked dh if he was ok with me going to my first piano lesson tonight. He said sure. I said he would have to take #5 to football practice. He said he didn't want to. His big complaint about me is I never try anything new.

Can't win for trying fw.

Earlier today I wondered what I was thinking cooking supper for 31 people. But then we all had a really great time and it was totally worth it.

t'is a week of celebration. Dh is 40 today. We are going out for dinner and to War Horse tonight. I'm having a surprise party for him on friday night. He thinks we're going bowling. He doesn't want to go bowling. But I said if he wanted to celebrate with extra people there was no way it was going to be at my house. And so I rented the basement of a hall, big enough, but not too big.

#1 is going for her drivers license today!!

Happy Birthday to all the birthday peep's!

Congrat's on the weight loss!

I hate this time of year. The flies are crazy. My house is full, FULL, of flies. Every time my front door is opened 50 come flying in. I sprayed the inside of the house yesterday, the kids and I hung out outside for a while, and by that evening the house was full. This will continue until there is a good freeze. I don't want a freeze and yet to get rid of the flies I do lol

Updated my phone to the new IOS system. Not sure I like it. I do like that it gave me more space, although initially I barely had enough for it. Aiden has a reading test online today, then we have to hurry into the city so he can do his state testing. He's going to fail it, but I'm okay with that. He's struggling with reading, but he is improving, thats all I care about.

Testing is the one thing that is super irritating at school. Even Sydney's teacher (RJ had her in 1st last year, but she switched to 3rd) agrees that like HALF the **** school year is testing.
You know what else is stupid? Three hours of homework in 5th grade every night.
And that my husband has to go to jury duty today and get 25$ for it (if he went) instead of potentially near $200 for the day at work. He threw a pretty big fit about it this morning when I told him the trial was still on. He's got A LOT of work to do. Of course he can't get in trouble for having to leave for it. Pretty sure that's illegal.

I like the update for ipad, but it seems to be making all the servers all messed up for my games.

Hope the trial goes very fast. How frustrating!

I have flies too, but not nearly as many as before when we had more animals in barns.

So dd failed her drivers test. And not just a little. She got flustered about something at the very beginning of the test, and it was a total disaster from then on. She was a little upset afterwards but then got over it.

He got let off right away. It was for a DWI, and he drank last night, so I guess they excuse you if you like beer LOL

I get flies late summer too. I'm pretty sure there's a wasp nest in one of our trees again too. Gotta wait til winter, knock the thing down and mutilate it! Take that useless wasps! Bastian got stung last week actually, because he picked one up. He had more swelling than any of the other kids ever had. If he gets stung again I'll have to keep an eye on him.

Weston has to have eye surgery for his Esotropia. I am not worried about the surgery, just the waking from anesthesia part. If any of you have ever had a kid under 5 put under you will know what I'm talking about!
