Did you care about any movie stars/boyband/singers when you were a teen?

How about your kids?

I was totally into NKOTB as a 13 year old, posters all over my walls, went to their concert, knew all their songs.

My kids totally are totally not like that (so far). I've yet to have one that's even remotely close to anything that resembled my obsession. My oldest has a thing for pro cowboys, but other than "liking" them on facebook that's about as far as it goes.

No and no. I was never interested in celebrities and my kids aren't either.

I still love Duran Duran. Loved John Taylor the bassist most of all. So much so I married a bassist. #1 wasn't into pop anything at all until #2 came along and turned 13 and got all into one direction. Then it was all Grammys, pop channel in the car. Now I am even cooler because I like Ed sheeran, fun, and the imagineers. I find the current stuff I like reminds me of 80's stuff I loved.

I wasn't really into any of that stuff. My best friend loved all the boy bands of the time. We were a little young for NKOTB, but she loved Backstreet, Nsync, 98 degrees all of them. I went to two nysnc concerts as a result

Jayde asked for one direction stuff for her birthday so I got it for her. I'm not sure if she really likes them, or she likes them because she wants to fit in.

Nope. I was never interested in that sort of stuff.

As for my kids, we don't have a t.v. and they listen to the music that my husband and I listen to. So they don't care, either.

I'd prefer our kids target their "worship" to the One that deserves it.

Mine changed with the wind. Honestly my choice of music and movies varied day by day. One day it would be country, the next it would be metal, throw in some Boy George and that was me.

My kids, with the exception of Sam who loves anything Tim Burton, don't seem to be drawn to any one person. Kailyn wouldn't mind a PSY poster on her wall though.

I'm sure I was, but nothing lasting with just one or two bands. I think I was the typical teen..into something new every few months. As far as music goes I was more into like Gavin Rossdale from Bush than Backstreet Boys or anything.

My kids aren't old enough. Although some of Beth's eight year old friends DO seem interested in such things...thankfully she is still into animals and cutsie things.

Just a band out there right now. Some nights (from wreck it Ralph), carry on are the songs by them I like. Just pop culture.

They still love god.

I liked 98 degrees, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, O-Town. I never had money to go to concerts but I was able to go to a baseball game O-Town did in my hometown once.

We don't have cable and rarely watch tv plus my kids are homeschooled so they don't like any yet. They're 8 and under though.

We listened to a lot of Christian Rock when I was a kid...mom was strict like that....so it was a lot of Amy Grant, DC Talk, and Newsboys.

But, as far as other music went, Meatloaf.
and Bon Jovi and Madonna and NKOTB and Debbie Gibson and Tiffany....

and some stuff from my Aunt's teens...Pat Benatar being huge on my list.

I'd never heard of Fun either.

Back in the 80's I thought Madonna was super cool too.
