We are expecting #7 (#5 biological for me but 7 including my two stepsons!). I think its funny people feel they can poke their nose in your family size after 2 or 3 children. If you can care for them, provide for them, and give them all the love and necessities they need who cares if you have 1 or 17?

^^ That exactly is what I tend to tell people who are busybody enough to actually ask us if they are all ours or the ever popular (and annoying) Are you done now?

I always get asked if they are all mine, it's a fair question considering none of them look alike, and only two of them even slightly look like me lol

Two technically aren't, but I have raised them, so that's not info I just divulge to anyone who ask since it's none of their business.

Congrat's and who cares what others think!

Yah congrats !!! we get those same questions too but the rudest one we got so far was at costco and an amish lady with a few kids her self asked us if they are all l ours and we just had the 5 young ones with us , after saying yes they are she then asked if DD3 was adopted!!!

Nothing wrong with being adopted but what if she was and it caused hurt feelings by that? Not all of our kids look the same either but that is just the wrong question to ask a total stranger.

WOW how rude, and your poor daughter.. way to make her feel like she must look like she does not belong People seem to forget their manners when they encounter larger families

I look NOTHING like my siblings, though as I age I look like a darker version of my mom.

I am dark haired, dark skinned, and my mom and siblings are all blonde haired, and blue eyed. My mom was often mistaken for being my babysitter lol

All mine are tan to brown skinned with dark hair and eyes. I am the palest of the pale and a redhead.

Once, at Toys R Us, an employee thought my oldest daughter was lost even though she was standing about 5 feet away from me. Laliyaah looked at the lady crazy and said "thats my mom right there," and pointed at me.

My MIL can tell some great mixed-race stories she's half Indian, half Icelandic, but you wouldn't pick the Iceland part by looking at her, especially when she's wearing a saree, which is often. FIL is Irish, they had four kids (one passed away as a child) older two look/ed Indian, younger two blonde amd pale.
Even less accepted in the 70s as it is now. DH and ypunger SIL tell a great story about the time a lady on the beach grabbed both their hands and pulled them away from the "voodoo lady"
Even now people struggle with DH and his older suster being siblings, and sometimes people just can't help but ask which one is adopted.
