My brother and sil have an 11 year old, and he is their only. She got pregnant twice after that, both resulting in tubal pregnancies. The first time was right at the same time as I got pregnant with my second, and then when she finally got pregnant again (6 years later) it was exactly at the same time as I got pregnant with Julia. She is not bitter with me or anything, and it's not like I can help it, but I can't help but feel bad. Like I am rubbing it in even though I am not meaning too. My sil is great about it, but it is hard for her.

It has always been hard for me to tell her that I am expecting again, and have always told her privately before I announced it to everyone else, so she doesn't have to paste on a happy face.

It's a stange thing to think that some people desperately want to have A baby, and then some of us just are blessed to have that dream materialize over and over.

My moms sister can not have children & it is always hard to tell her we are expecting.

She LOVES the kids & is always happy for us.

At one point growing up I remember them trying to adopt & talking to my mom about having a baby for them. They decided against both & became foster parents.

Fortunately no friends or family have trouble conceiving. It's me that has the trouble now... so when I hear that others are expecting I may get a little envious, but I am always happy for them!

Thankfully, I've not had to deal with that! However, I was pregnant at the same time as my cousin's wife (actually we're pregnant again now... or at least I think she still is... she's due now) with Paige. Her son was born with a SEVERE heart defect and has been very near death many times. It was VERY hard at the time!

I have 3 cousins with issues...2 finally conceived and had babies, although one of them can no longer have any more due to her medical issues, the other one adopted another cousins baby recently.

I had a friend who had trouble conceiving. She miscarried with her 1st and then it was a few years before she had her daughter. I already had 2 kids and then had 2 more before she had her first. I really dreaded telling her when I was expecting my 4th. I felt so guilty that we weren't even trying and here I was having my 4th child and she'd been trying so long. I kept praying she'd call and tell me she was expecting, but I went ahead and told her, because I felt she'd be hurt if I waited too terribly long. She was happy for us and a month maybe 2 months later she did call with great news and her daughter a couple months after me! She now has 2 girls and last I heard is done.
