Yes, we do not allow toy guns. even the fake looking ones. And water guns are a toughy, but as long as they look really outrageous, not real looking, he has been ok with a few water guns. We just try to call them water squirters, not guns. This is a big deal for dh. He is very adament about it.

No toy guns here either. Also no handheld video games or tv video game systems. We also keep any battery-powered toys to a severe limit (I think we have maybe 2 battery powered toys.)

No toy guns (although it's not been an issue yet...we'll see when my son gets older)

No popcorn popper toys ...they drive me NUTS!

We have a bit of a downer on the 'Bratz' dolls here - not sure if they have them in the US? Far too (whispers) tarty for my taste, I'm afraid...

Also avoid guns unless, as someone said, they look nothing like the real thing!

So far have resisted drumkits etc. too, but that's from a purely selfish 'mummy has to listen to it all day' perspective!!

none are no no's BUT there are things i won't buy toy guns except water guns,noisy toys,battery toys,huge non outside toys

yes we have bratz...my husbands 12 yo is obsessed with them.i can't stand them...they look like street walkers.

Toys that make noise. The kids make enough noise without toys that make noise, but it seems to never work everyone buys them for my kids.
