Last year when the kids were out of school for Thanksgiving break, we all made those hand turkeys and they decorated them and I hung them up, dh and I made one too. They really enjoyed it and asked if we could do it again this year, so we will.

For Christmas, the main one that comes to mind, is I buy them new pjs and they open them on Christams eve night and get to sleep in them.

I also let them pick out a new Christmas ornament each year and then when they are grown and ready to move out and have their own tree, they can have their ornaments that they picked out over the years to put on their tree. Seems like there are more, but I can't remember, preggo brain!

We do the pj thing as well...my mom did this with my brother and me too! They get new ornaments every year too..my tree doesn't have any bare spots!

And as a tradition..we do alot of driving to family--his and mine. Sometimes I think I just want to stay home and have our own meals..but people may take it the wrong way.

I've wanted to do the ornament thing ... and I tried .... but I couldn't keep track of who's ornament was who's year after year. Any bright ideas on that?? I can't imagine keeping 5 kids worth of ornaments over 20 years organized LOL

We travel too and I also wish there were times I could stay home, just seems much easier but thats a no-no....Rrrrrrr...How nice would it be to actually let the kids play with their toys and go back to sleep for awhile but nope, we open gifts and then start to get ready to leave.

Thats a great idea Dawn

As for us...we each have an ornament with our names on it, even all the animals we have ever had. Everyone puts up their own NAME ornament last.
