So I got a whole box of stuff from my sister. All the shirts are super cute (and are still in style after 6 years - but do polo shirts go out of style?). All her pants are way too big. All my regular clothes still fit but they are slowly becoming more and more uncomfortable. My work pants are still fine but my jeans (UGH!) are way too tight (but still buttonable). So I have been wearing a belly band. Its not too bad but I feel like my pants are always falling off and I am constantly pulling them back up.

Well this weekend I broke down and actually bought maternity jeans. I got a pair at target. I was SHOCKED to see I am still fitting in my size 14s! I actually could have bought the 12s (which would have been a first for me EVER) but they were let out as far as they could be and so there would have been no room for a baby belly. I am so excited about wearing the jeans this weekend. They are so awesomely comfortable.

So how does everyone else feel about maternity clothes?

Some of them I love; other stuff I hate! I have a couple pair of jeans I got a destination maternity that I LOVE! I also got a pair of yoga-style pants at Target that are great! I'm at the point now where I need the full panel cover ones otherwise they fall down and look straqnge. With DS, I got a bunch from my cousin, but they are bigger and really don't hardly fit me now. Same with a lot of the tops; many were size 1x-2x... I now wear L-XL I think that a lot of them are really cute and I don't think polo shirts real,ly go out of style!

I am actually busting out my big clothes this weekend. I am going to pull out all the pants I shrunk out of to start wearing again. They will be big in the legs but give my abdomen enough space to be comfortable.

Where should I go to get maternity clothes if I'm normally a size 22? You can't just go anywhere and find maternity clothes for plus sized people.

Here is what I ended up doing that was successful for me...

1. I kept an eye on Craigslist. I ended up getting some good stuff that way (plus most of the women also had baby clothes for sale too).
2. Old Navy has some stuff that is plus sized maternity, as does motherhood maternity. Target has a little bit of stuff but not a lot.
3. I actually go away with wear alot of my pre-preggo shirts. I had to get pregnancy pants but a lot of my shirts still fit even now in my 8th month of pregnancy. And even just buying a shirt in a size or 2 larger than you wear normal works too.

hope it helps!

I was a size 22 with #2 and a size 20 with #3. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. I am not willing to spend to much because after I have the baby, I will need some more clothes withing a month or 2 (I gain a lot with pregnancy but go down a size after, so it s kinda nice for me)

I keep an eye on Craigslist. Sometimes things pop up. I also went and got some lounge pants and a pair of jeans at Walmart.com. They had more on there than in the store. Shipping was not that bad at all. Old Navy (at least online) has some really cute maternity clothes for plus sized but you pay a little more for it. Plus, they do not make you look like you are wearing a bag.

Motherhood had some stuff, but most of their stuff always looked bad on me. I did feel like I was in a bag. Sad, but that is sometimes what your choices are when you wear the larger sized clothes.

Also hit up the baby resale shops. I recently found some jeans there for 4.99 and a shirt that was really nice.
