my husband says i put lime and red vinegar in everything, which is probably like 85% truth

i'm central american with a peruvian grandmother, so that does influence the way i cook and how i like my food to taste. i love trying new foods, but i realized i'm very attracted to stronger and bolder flavors like indian, middle eastern, thai, etc..

do you find your cultural background has influenced your palate? did it influence your palate to take a completely different path? i have a friend who ate so much bland food growing up, he prefers the exact opposite now.
