yogurt (soy or dairy), tofu (in a million different ways), smoothies with silken tofu, beans, hummus.

Beans-- as finger foods or in like a quesadilla
tofu-- cubed and stirfried with some garlic and soy sauce, or tofu sticks, etc

thanks..
he didn't show much interest in solids til around 7 months...he's really not having the easiest time with finger foods. most of the time he just plays with them and wont eat them and then when he does eat them, he chokes...not just gagging...choking. it's happened quite a few times. i can tell he wants to eat more solids lately and appears hungry for them...but i can also tell he's getting very bored of thick purees. i really hope he gets the hang of swallowing bigger pieces soon.
he loves yogurt, but cant eat only yogurt!

We do A LOT of beans in our house... black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans. We also eat a lot of tofu, cheese (including cottage cheese--- great source of protein), and yogurt. Also, if you do rice and beans, it is complete protein.
