Do you plant a vegetable garden? What do you grow? We are still in the thinking of planning stages for this year Probably zucchini, squash, spaghetti squash, peppers, beans, tomatoes.

we do. we have this above ground raised thingy with a drip system. it was a gift from the in laws a few years back. we typically grow radishes, green onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers of different kinds, lots of herbs. if we do lettuces, we do container gardening for those. this year we're going to try to grow some pumpkins and squash at my parent's forest house since they have lots of room. there's a clearing in the trees that allows some sun, but i'm not sure how successful we'll be! we'll also be battling the deer.

I'd love to have a garden but we don't have any place for one. Having said that I did try to do container gardens last year and failed miserably. I tried to grow lettuce and herbs and I couldn't figure out when to pick the lettuce, how to pick it whether pull the whole leaf out or break it off some place, didn't know if it would regrow or if i had to put new seeds, etc. It wasn't like a head of lettuce it was just leaves. sort of the same situation with the herbs. Obviously, I don't have a green thumb.
