so i am baaaaack!!!!! I had such ups and downs with vegetarian eating on my trip from PA to NC. In the Philly airport i passed over my regular hummus sandwich for a brown rice salad with tahini dressing, OMG DELICIOUS!!!! And on my trip i had a good italian dinner with gnocci and a salad. Last night I went to dinner at an Asian restaurant and it was gross. some stuff that you thought would be vegetarian were not (pad thai for example) and what i got was so disappointing we did find a do it yourself self serve frozen yogurt place that my friend went bonkers over. I ran a trail race and they had veggie burgers! I was so excited but the only runner who ate them.

Ive never known Pad Thai to be vegetarian...

I usually find eating easy at Asian resturaunts, you must have had some bad luck there.

DIY frozen yoghurt sounds pretty cool, haha.

i cannot remember the last time i have had bad chinese or asian food! yeah, pad thai is often not veg, but a lot of restaurants, at least in my experience, will make it vegetarian (no fish sauce).

i remember on a couple trips i took to the UK many many years ago, i ate a lot of turkish food and italian food...those were the most veggie friendly things i could find. luckily there was a turkish place right down the road from my bed and breakfast. i ate a lot of dolmas those weeks!

oh also, the do it yourself yogurt places haven't invaded the east yet? man, they are crazy out here. we had 4-5 pop up just last summer. in california (where my family lives) they've been popular for a few years. i loooooooooooooove coconut and chocolate frozen yogurt together topped with strawberries, mango and pineapple. i could eat that everyday. i just had some last weekend. now i want more NOW

no they have popped up all over, but we are in a more rural area, so none that close to our house.
