joined a local CSA yesterday...you have to pay up front for the entire season, but it's going to average 36$ a week for vegetables which is less than we pay now with doing our shopping at whole foods.
cant wait to start getting fresh organic seasonal veggies every week...they also give you suggested recipes. we did start with a large share since we eat vegetarian. if it turns out to be too much every week, we're going to can a lot of it for winter. very excited!

let me know what you think we live around a lot of farms and CSAs, but i am really picky and my family would not eat a lot of the food (though i would!) and i like to pick what i want, so we just go to their farm stands instead. and we have a garden.
