i finally bit the bullet and went to costco and got me a vitamix. I am so excited!!!! Going to make cauliflower soup tonight!!!

awesome! let me know how it turns out!
i haven't made any soups in my vitamix. i got the one that came with the dry ingredient/flour grinder thing, so we use it to grind up grains and coffee a lot.

I do not have the dry container, but read that you can grind in the regular one as well. I made soup last night, may try peanut butter and non dairy milk over the weekend

i have one of those omega juicers that's supposed to make nut butters and soy milk but i haven't had time to do those things, just juice. carlos is almost 2 and i still haven't found a balance so i dont have a lot of time to do stuff...i dont even know how i'm going to get his birthday cake made and decorated!

at 2yo, i ended up going to the bakery the day before her party, cause it just was not going to happen! LOL

i saw them making soups in the vitamix on QVC today and it makes me want to try something.
did you use a vitamix recipe or an online one?

I used a recipe a friend gave me. It was pretty basic. Roasted Cauliflower & Cheddar Soup | Cauliflower Soup Recipe | Two Peas & Their Pod
i used cashew cheeze.

I am dying of jealousy!!! Me and DF already agreed that we are going to invest in one (we decided that yes, it's an investment in our health by making it easy to increase raw food intake, and we will save the money on doctor bills in the long run!) but it's a matter of timing...sigh, until I can get mine, I'll watch everyone else with envy.
