i made some black eyed pea/sweet potato (but i had to use YAM!!) sliders tonight. she said to add your own seasonings so that helped, but i think they needed oil IN them even tho they were sauteed, not baked. they weren't browning up like they should have i think.
i'll probably make some quinoa patties later in the week. i pressured cooked a pound of black beans i had from the CSA today so tomorrow might be black bean soup or some bean dish.

i made those cheesy quinoa bites (not vegan) and they were soooo good. my husband loved them. i added more veggies than she said tho, i diced up a zucchini and some portabella mushroom and added that. i omitted the flour and they set up just fine. i really want to make a pie version of it to cut into slices instead when my inlaws are here. i think they'll eat this.

ha...thats funny..
i used penzey's 4/s seasoned salt in mine ...Hand-mixed from: Coarse Sea Salt, Smoked Paprika, Sugar, Special Extra Bold Black Pepper, Turmeric, Onion, Garlic, Spice Extractives (including oleoresin of paprika, black pepper, celery, rosemary and thyme).
i seasoned the dry ingredients and also seasoned the egg separately.
was a taste issue? or a texture issue?

I don't remember. It was awhile ago. There are a handful of recipes i have made that i thought would be winners for sure for DD and they all flopped. No reason why. I usually like them though!
