So I may have spoken too soon... or uhh, I mean, late?? I was saying I wanted a Vitamix later on when we have more money and that I wish I could get one now like all you girls posting about it... wellll, yesterday I tried making cashew cream cheese in my HB Wave Maker blender, and lo and behold, it started smelling like burning... ugh! Stupid piece o' ****! I mean, okay, it was good for a very select few things before going veg, but now I need something more powerful. Sooo, I think it's on the verge of dying. Which means I either don't have a blender for a long while (eek!!) or we sacrifice something and get a Blendtec (cheaper but works just as well from what I've heard)...

I bought the Vitamix at Costco for $349 and they have refurb on their sites, so compare that with Blendtec, which i have read is pretty comparable.
