OK, so I'm a Dec DD mom and I could honestly stand to lose a few pounds (or a LOT). I know I'm not suppose to actively try and lose weight while pregnant. I also would like to lower my cholesterol a little as well. I have really considered the vegetarian lifestyle for a while now and feel like it is something I would like to try...so what I would like to know is:

1- Do you recommend adopting a new eating lifestyle while pregnant?
2- How do you deal with a spouse that eats meat? How do the differing eating patterns affect meal planning?

I know the questions probably seem very silly and elementary, but I'm not sure about a lot of it. Any help or advice you can offer would be great.

Hi there, first of all congratulations!
In answer to your questions, i dont think its a great idea to radically change your diet while pregnant, you could try and modify it though, - its something you should maybe talk to your Dr about , you need to make sure you are getting all the right nutrients for you and the baby

My DH and Kids both eat meat - I have never found it a problem, generally if Say I am cooking him chicken, potatoes and veg - then I have a vege substitute, potatoes and veg. If I am making them curry, i make a pot of vege curry, If its pasta and sauce I make a bit pot of the pasta and sauce, take out my portion and them add the meat. Its one thing that has never bothered me having to cook 2 meals

Good Luck
