It might be the age. ds2 has been my best eater so far, but perhaps their growth is just slowing down and they don't need to eat as much?
He's scarfing down some canned peaches right now, but I worry that all the processed sugar in winter foods might negatively affect his ability to self-regulate, if I'm explaining that in a way that makes sense to you. We don't do the Clean Plate Club or anything, but I'm striving for a middle ground instead of either of the extremes.
ds1 dropped by unannounced and hungry last night, so we wound up doing spaghetti and I'll start tweaking the "cheesey beans and rice" recipe of my childhood tonight. I'm going to use 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast instead of 1/2 lb of cheddar and if that doesn't work, I'll add some grapeseed oil next and use the sauce from this:
