I rarely eat during the day, breakfast has never sat well with me, and usually I'm too busy at lunch trying to get my lil one to eat and out the door for the afternoon. So I end up snacking a lot. It works quite well for me, and I'm not looking to change that Then we all get together for a good dinner.
I love snack foods I try to eat as healthy as possible. Some of my favorites are:
Baked nachos chips, cheese and fresh salsa.
pita bread and hummus
raw veggies and dip
quick salads with whatever is around
natural ice cream (usually more of an after dinner treat)
Cheese and multigrain crackers (peanut butter and crackers after DD is in bed, we're still not sure if she is allergic, as a lot of my family is, so we take no chances)
A lot of your faves are mine, too. I also like triscuits with tofu cheese, baked pita chips, organic maple yogurt, peanut butter pretzels, raw veggies with yogurt dip, and trail mix made with several types of cereal, dried fruit and nuts or sunflower seeds.
Not a vegetarian, but I've gotten hooked on "Snap Pea Crisps" by my best friend who is a vegetarian. They're made from peas and are baked and salted. I get them at Wild Oats and can plow through a bag in a few hours!!

I am not actually a vegetarian but since 6 weeks I have detested the sight/smell of meat. My really good friend is a vegetarian so we get a lot of food for us to eat and a lot for our husbands to eat. I can't even eat like chick patties (the veggie chicken patties) Too much like the taste of REAL CHICKEN - BLAH. If this keeps up maybe I will be a vegetarian ... couldn't hurt.
My favorite snacks right now are broccoli, broccoli and broccoli. Also pretzels and hummus.
I love to snack, but not on fruits and veggies, well they are okay... I LOVE to snack on ice-cream, cookies, donuts, cakes, anything sweet and yummy. I need to be a healthier vegetarian, I am working on it.
