If you don't eat meat, it is also important to get DHA. They sell DHA eggs, which are a bit more expensive. Your body can turn Omega 3 into DHA, although not as much as your body may need. DHA is an essential fatty acid found in fish, primarily Salmon. They sell organic Omega3 eggs at Costco. You can buy organic Omega 3 eggs and also they now sell whole wheat pasta that has Omega 3 in it, thay also use legumes in the pasta so it has extra protein. Eggs are great protein. Yogurt is also great for protein as is milk. Cheese is good for protein. Protein is also in many carb based foods, such as bread, cereal, potatoes, brocolli, just in small quantities that add up. Match up your carbs with some protein such as black beans or kidney beans with cheese, rice and salsa. Peanut butter on toast is great, as are any nuts or nut butter. Make hay stacks, with chips, cheese, beans, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever other toppings you might like. Make bean burritos, just heat up the beans and wraps and toss in whatever veggies you want, around the table. Also, cottage cheese is loaded with protein. There is also, soy milk and Morningstar makes tasty fake meat. I suggest the grillers (not prime) and the bacon strips and breakfast patties. The Morningstar Chicken nuggets and chicken burgers are pretty good too. Gardenburgers are pretty good also. One other fake meat is Quorn, this stuff is juicy and tasty. I hope this is helpful. If you need any other advice or suggestions, feel free to ask.
