Well, I took Tasiya in the doctors the other day for a cold and talked to her ped about her eval. She really was shocked that they might DX Tasiya with apraxia so early. She thought 2 yrs was kinda young. What is the normal age for a diagnoses if in fact she has apraxia?
I don't know the answer, but in my opinion, the earlier you can get the correct diagnosis the sooner you can start appropriate treatment. I would imagine that speech therapy is different between children who have appropriate motor-planning and are just delayed compared to a child with apraxia.
