What is everyone's diagnosis?

Evan seems to have delays in cognitive and language delays. Everything else he was patial or average/normal.

His total language age equiv was 1 year & 7 months. And he is 2 years & 9 months. So, he is 14 months delayed.

It seemed as if Evan's tantrums were interferring with his learning. They suggested we work on him @ home with taking turns, sharing etc. During the eval he had a hard time transitioning activities, I as his mother know he is stubborn and when he starts playing with say, his cars - he wants to play with his cars! And now stop right then and there. I am not sure if this is not right, but to me it would seem any 2.5 year old would!

What is everyone's goal(s) for their children?

Our goal is that Evan is able to start speaking sentences and gain self confidence from knowing he is speaking well. We feel he is delayed with cognitive, We are not sure how signifigant as he didn't do well during his eval and didn't cooperate as much as he could have! We feel he will pick up in that area mostly on his own as time goes by! Dan (DH) was perceptionally impaired as a child. So, maybe that is where the cognitive comes into play.

What therapy is everyone's Children recieving?

Evan will be having Speech Therapy once a week - and A Early Childhood Educator 2 times a month.

What is everyone's diagnosis?
Officially - septo-optic dysplasia, her speech delay was partially due to her visual impairment (babies learn to speak by watching our mouths form words) but mostly due to her autism (related to the SOD)

What is everyone's goal(s) for their children?
To be able to answer W questions appropriately and carry on appropriate conversations. She has a very extensive vocabulary, but usually does not use them appropriately or just repeats what you say.

What therapy is everyone's Children recieving?
12:1:1 special ed classroom with a personal aide full time, speech 5x a week, OT 5x a week, PT 2x a week, vision 4x a week, and O&M 2x a week.
